Re: ideas to keep your mouth closed, opinions
I wrote a while back ago that I was having leaking issues worse than 25 kids in the community pool. Thought about the taping the mouth idea, but just couldn't do it (too claustrophobic for me to handle mentally, guess my brothers tied me up one too many times as a kid). About fourteen days ago, I st...

Re: Taking CPAP through carry-on luggage
Have now traveled with my S9 4 times in the last few months. Each time, took it out and put it in one of those bins and had no real trouble except for...the TSA person would look at it and say, "hey, is that one of them new ones? Those are real space age looking. Mind if I scan it through a couple o...

Please do post what it looks like and does it work with the nasal pillow type masks?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Government Will Mess with your CPAP
Some government regulation, or intervention, is necessary. No question. But what we are heading to is over regulation, over involvement of the government (especially at the Federal level). Please look at the states that have become "Nanny States" (NY, NJ, MA, CA to name a few). They are over-extende...

Re: Is it possible to over pressurize yourself?
If I were you, I'd stick with straight pressure......8, 9, 10......whatever......and then monitor the leak stats. Fixed pressure will give you a "constant" with which to gauge your other tweaks and leaks. If you know what your expected "Vent Flow Rate" is for the mask, then you can monitor whether ...

Is it possible to over pressurize yourself?
In the sleep study done in Oct. 2007, it was determined that my pressure setting should be 8. That is what I used since then on a Goodknight 420. That is, until a few months ago when I started to feel groggy again. At the end of March of this year, I decided that I really needed data to see what was...

Re: Apnea and sleep stage question
I am afraid that my question may seem silly, but this thread makes me wonder about something that I have been experiencing. Why is it that on nights when I have fallen asleep without the mask on, I have had some intense dreams. But, any night that I have been on cpap therapy, I don't remember any dr...

Re: QUITTING CPAP
I hate CPAP. I hate mask leaks. I hate red spots on the bridge of my nose. I hate crease lines on my cheeks. I hate relying on a machine to help me breath. I hate not being able to fall asleep holding onto my wife. I hate changing the humidifier water. I hate cleaning the mask. I hate dragging the ...

Re: Resmed S9 Data Card
Hi, and welcome to the fun known as "what the heck is going on here and how come i'm not in Kansas anymore?" In regards to downloading the date, you will need the Resmed ResScan 3.10 software (if you do a search, you will find quite a few threads on the subject of where to get it). PM me if you run ...

Re: Found a mask finally!
Glad to hear that you found one. I have gone through about 15 masks since being a diagnosed hose head since Oct. 2007. My wife sometimes looks at me cross eyed because of it. Oh well, it is difficult to explain to those that are fortunate, vs. those of us that are not, that a good nights sleep is no...

Re: ResScan 3.10 data download time
Hi. I use ResScan on a MacBook Pro with Parellels and it does take a couple of mins. to download the data. Not sure that helps, but at least, you're not alone in the waiting game there.

Thanks to Rebecca R (love the profile pic, its the way I look most morns), DreamOn (will do my part to pass the kindness on), Uncle_Bob (quite the breakfast you got going there) and DreamDiver (looks like you have a severe rain out issue happening) for your help. Help with reading ResScan data
Hi. I am trying to figure out where I am going wrong. Have had the Resmed S9 since March 29, and have not had a real good nights sleep. Have tried various settings, but just can't seem to get it right. Of particular concern is the leak graph. If I am reading it right, seems to be leaking worse than ...
