Re: Camping
Actually with the S9 you can use a modified sine wave inverter even if you are using the humidifier, the humidifier requires a 200W inverter though. Here is resmed's battery guide updated for S9 info: http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documents/service_support/battery_guide/19825_battery-guide_glo_eng...

Re: Camping
You can however use a power inverter with your S9. The resmed battery guide says you must use a 150W power inverter, mine is a 200W. I'll buy the DC cable when it comes out, but I had camping plans for June so I couldn't wait for it.

Re: Hello Old Friends - I Need Help
I read through most of the responses so i don't think this has been mentioned, but sorry if it has. Do you use your laptop/ipod/etc right before bedtime? I read somewhere(maybe here?) recently that all the bright screens we look at all the time can mess with sleep schedule. Those lights make your bo...

Re: Going Camping
I recently bought this battery pack: http://www.bestcpapprice.com/Owell-Industries-266-watt-hr-Compact-Portable-12V-Super-CPAP-Battery-System_p_0-516.html Testing it at home I have been able to get 3 full nights (24 hrs) from a charge using it with my S9 set at 7cm(humidifier in passover mode). That...

Re: CPAP on Battery Power (RV)
Here is a link to Resmed's battery guide: http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documents/service_support/battery_guide/19825_battery-guide_glo_eng.pdf Near the end there is a chart that shows the size of battery required to power the CPAP for 1 night, from that you should be able to determine how long yo...

Re: Night 1 - Please Help
I don't know if this is your problem or not, but I started with Xtra Small Nasal Pillows for my Swift FX. I found that I had a hard time exhaling with the Xtra small when I first put the mask on, even at my low pressure of 7. I recently switched to a Small instead and I no longer have a hard time ex...

Re: ResMed S9 with a battery?
Just thought you'd all like to know that the battery guide has now been updated for the S9. http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documen ... lo_eng.pdf
Looks like even the humidifier can be run off a modified sine wave inverter.

Re: Just looking for some encouragement
Thanks all. Last night was a much better night. Took some claritin and turned the climate control up a bit, this seemed to help. JStaggie: Thats really interesting about breathing out of one nostril, it sure felt like it was a problem when I was wearing my nasal pillow mask though . Maybe knowing th...

Just looking for some encouragement
Ok, so here's the story. I started my CPAP last Tuesday night. Sleep lab ordered me the Swift FX, but the DME didn't have the XS pillow for it, so they put me on the Swift LT for her instead. That leaked bad, I could only sleep on my back or the headgear would push the nasal pillow out of place. Fir...

Re: Campers/Backpackers/Horse packers
Just read yesterday on batterygeek.net that they do battery rentals. I was told by one of the customer service reps that its $5-6 a day. Maybe one of their CPAP batteries would be suitable?
