1st night success, but my poor nose!
Good Morning! My first night using cpap was pretty successful. Went to bed at 10pm, asleep by 11pm, and woke up due to a sore nose at 5am. Six hours of sleep and I'm feeling really good. My knees feel much better, I'm awake and actually having a cup of coffee because it tastes good, as opposed to ne...

Re: Hole In Roof
I'm not so sure that the "markets" were not dysfunctional prior to the bailout... in fact I think I think many people who consider themselves part of the market, equate functional with greed. What makes the market functional is greed. Me being greedy will demand that I get paid what I'm worth, a co...

Re: OT: For Pet Loving Apneans
Hello Pet Loving Apneans! I volunteer for a small licensed animal shelter. A better way to describe it would be a small network of foster homes. We are a tax deductable (501c3). We have absolutely no paid staff. 100% of proceeds go to helping the dogs with the exception of federal & state licensing ...

First Timer working with DME... So far so good
Hello! I went in for a sleep study about 2 months ago and have finally gotten through most of the red tape to get a machine and mask. I was called today by the DME that my sleep doc works primarily with. It started much like the horror stories described here with DME's. DME: Hey we've got your machi...

2nd sleep study - or - awake for at least one day
Good Morning! And I really mean good morning! I went in for my second night sleep study, the cpap titration thing. I had difficulties getting to sleep. I started with a nasal mask, but I've been sleeping with my mouth open for so long it just didn't work for me. I asked to be moved to a full mask wh...

Re: Into & mask questions from "walking dead" newb
Thanks so much for the replies. I'm definitely in a lonely place right now, even though my wife is very supportive. It's uplifting to know that there are others who have gone thru the process that I am just starting, that they are willing to discuss it, and offer suggestions/support. Most people do ...

Into & mask questions from "walking dead" newb
Hello, I am a complete newb at this. Though I am feeling much less of one by reading the posts. Thank you for this. My story: I am currently what you would call one of the "Walking Dead". I am 39, a systems programmer, slightly overweight, living in Kansas. I enjoy camping, working with animals and ...

Re: Resmed S9 Software - Where can I get it?
I was just diagnosed with 99 events per hour from a sleep study. I'll be going back in to determine what pressure I need for my cpap and then I plan on getting an S9. Where can I get the software?
