Re: squeak noise

My full-face mask squeaks when water droplets form on the inside of the mask, over the exhaust holes. Shaking the drops off, or blowing them out with a hard exhale stops it for a few minutes, but the only sure cure is to turn down the humidity.

Squeaks and whistles when water drops form around exhaust

I'm fighting terrible dry mouth with my F&P Forma full face mask, so I keep turning up the humidity. I'm not to the point of having water in the hose, but the last couple of mornings I've been awakened by noise from my mask. I believe it's because of water droplets forming around the exhaust holes. ...

Re: Palpitations or what?

I amused my doctor when I told him these episodes feel like having a carp flopping around in my chest. I've been through all the heart tests, and it's generally healthy. It happened while I was hooked up to the electrocardiogram while waiting for the treadmill last time. It looks pretty scary on the...

Re: For newbies---Pad-a-cheek products might Help

Spoke with the nice lady who makes pad-a-cheeks. She said no one had ever mentioned using them to prevent cheek inflation, but that she'd custom make ones with extra padding for me if I thought they would help.

Re: Newbie problems with a full face mask

I had similar leakage problems with my F&P Forma full-face mask. Half-way through the night the leaks would be so bad I gave up and took the mask off. I don't know if it was sweat or face oil that was the culprit. I tried the mask liners (RemZZZs), and they relieve the feeling of silicone on your fa...

Re: For newbies---Pad-a-cheek products might Help

I use a F&P full-face mask, and one of the discomforts is having my cheeks 'blow up' when my mouth is open. Air gets above my molars on my top teeth, and pushes outward on my cheek. Gentle pressure on my face just below my cheekbones prevents this from occurring. The side strap from the mask happens...

Re: Another Newbie Question ... Tooth Pain

I just called my DME yesterday complaining of achy teeth. He said he had never heard of anyone having teeth problems after starting therapy. He told me to visit my doctor. It's not hurting where the mask presses on my face, and it seems to be accompanied by swollen lymph glands. I know I'm strugglin...

Nose tickles?

I'm just in my second week of CPAP use. There have been some good nights and some bad. Lots of trouble with leaks and whistles and groans. My provider suggested I try the RemZZZs liners, and they help with the comfort and leaks. My worst gremlins are the nose itchies and tickles. I just get the mask...
