I contacted Secondwind and the plastic piece that is on top of the reservoir should be removed, which was probably not helping the humidifier any. I hope that was the issue..

Thanks for responding, I'm confused about the off white plastic plug that you are talking about..is it the oval one on top of the humidifier reservoir or something else?

Hello everybody, I have a Resmed s8 auto II with a humidaire 3i and i am waking up with a sore throat and dry sinuses regardless of settings. The humidifier heats up at first then it gets cold again within 20 minutes. At the setting I have it set to (3.5), I go through 1/2 reservoir of water a night...
