Re: Life of a CPAP machine

I downloaded the sleepyhead program there are larger gaps where there are no readings like the machine is cutting off ? I found the hose was collapsed and replace it but I had the same readings the next night. How do you post screen shots?

Re: Life of a CPAP machine

They say my machine will not calibrate properly I'm suppose to be at 17cm machine was pushing 12 cm. They had to set at 19cm to get it to 17cm whatever all that means. I guess the new question is what is a good machine?

Re: Life of a CPAP machine

Your right, I do not have a back up and have been very sleepy the last couple of weeks, with headaches and problems concentrating. My wife is taking my machine in for a check up today so hopefully I will know something to night. With my NEW insurance I will have to pay out of pocket for the machine ...

Life of a CPAP machine

I have had my machine for about 5 years, I love it and use it every night. What is the life expectancy of the average machine ?

How often do you change?

The supply company sends me replacement equipment every 6 months. Do you really need to replace the hose and hard plastic mask that often? I understand the cushion but I clean the mask and hose often so it seems like a waste. I was think of calling and canceling the next shipment. Its been awhile si...

Its been along time

I have not posted in several months mainly because everything seemed to be going OK but I was still having to many apneas. So they have increased my pressure to 17 and I'm having a hard time keeping my mask on. I have tighten the straps to keep from blowing by the seals but other than that I figure ...

New mask having a lot of leaks

Ok my pressure was 13.5 and I was still having to many apneas so the DME ordered an APAP to do a trial. The problem is my pressure is going as high as 20, which was causing a lot of leaks with the FULLLIFE mask I was using. So asked to try the Mirage Quattro full face (mouth breather) but I'm having...

Full face mask/Need advice???

I have been using the Full-life mask for about 5 weeks with ok results. However I have been using a APAP for the last week to determine what my new pressure should be (currently 13). I have had a lot of problems with leaks. So I looked at some reviews and found that the Full-Life was one of the lowe...
