Re: Are All S9 Elites Created Equal?

To get from the "Sleep Report" screen you are seeing to the "Sleep Quality" screen, push the "I" button. If that doesn't work push the "I" button a second time. Pushing the "I" two times when I'm on the Sleep report screen always works for me. Have you tried unplugging and plugging the machine back ...

Re: Quality of S9 equipment

I bought an S9 since my insurance covered more than 80% of the cost. I selected the S9 mainly due to its current technology, appearance, and because it is a very quiet machine. I like the S9 but it does appear to be cheap, especially the humidifier hinge. Both the slimline and Climateline hoses held...

Re: Zero AHI?

I have the same machine as you. I got AHIs of 0 for about 5 days in a row. My usual AHI is between 1 and 2.8 and I didn't believe the 0 readings. I erased the data on the card and the readings returned to my usual range. I'm guessing your 0 readings are incorrect if they started appearing suddenly w...

Re: replacement for goodknight for travel

I had a 420S that died recently. I had used it for travel and it was a great travel machine. I just got an S9 which is my main machine and I use an older Remstar M Auto for travel only. Whenever I get a new machine it becomes my main machine and my older unit becomes my travel machine. If I were buy...

Re: Is it possible that my machine turned off last night?

OK, this is probably really dumb, but I'll put it out anyway. . . I thought that my PAP was supposed to obliterate any events - in other words, if I have an event, that the pressure would kick in an open my airway within a few seconds. 30 seconds is certainly better than my untreated OSA . Could so...

Re: Travel to Bali: to take or not to take the machine?

Without a doubt take your CPAP on the trip. Don't be a dummy. You don't need extra travel insurance and there is no need to notify the airline in advance. I travel all the time, including Bali, and have never heard of a CPAP being stolen. Your S9 will even fit in most inroom safes. I don't use my hu...

Re: do you really like the s9 climate line hose, or not?

I live in Southern California and switched to the ClimateLine hose several weeks ago. Rainout has never been a problem for me. I keep the humity set at 75 degrees. One thing I noticed is that I use more distilled water with the ClimateLine. Not a big deal but I used to fill the water chamber every 6...

Re: Nasal pillow leaks with Breeze

I used the Breeze for quite a while but have two other masks I would recommend for you. I believe both of these masks are more stable than the Breeze and I get much better results (leaks, AHI rates) with them. One is the Swift FX, a new ResMed mask that is extremely popular here. Second (and my favo...

Re: Trying to love Quattro

I want to love my Quattro but I have too much trouble with it. I used to have terrible leaks. I finally got the leaks in the 20 range by using Pad A Cheek's anti leak strap. But the straps left major marks on my face. I'll eventually play with the anti leak strap to avoid the face marks. The anti le...

Re: 0 AHI-Is my machine working correctly?

For those of us who repeatedly get a 0 AHI, I found a fix that worked for me. All I did was delete the data from the memory card. I was able to delete the data while on the S9 unit.

Re: 0 AHI-Is my machine working correctly?

I used a Quattro face mask last night and came up with an AHI of 7.8 with tons of leaks. That's actually normal for me with the Quattro and it is the reason why I switched away from the Quattro. I wonder now if the machine/software is working correctly after all. I'll download the newest ResScan sof...

0 AHI-Is my machine working correctly?

I've had an S9 for about 4 months. My AHI readings have been between .03 and 2.5 nearly every night. For the past five nights, my AHI has been 0.0. My median leak rate/minute is 0 each of those nights and 95th percentile leak rate varies between 7 and 16 L/minute. Pressure is automatically fluctuati...

Re: Resmed Mirage Quattro - Air Leaks

I've been on cpap for about 8 years using a nasal pillow mask. I got a Quattro a few months ago to use when I have a cold. Whenever I turn my head, the Q starts leaking. I find myself awake and playing with the mask often during the night. My leaks rates are unacceptable with this mask. The Q is com...

Re: What is your favorite nasal PILLOW mask?

I use the old fashioned Adams Circuit. It may be the cheapest mask out there for those without insurance and it fits great and keeps leaks to a minimum. The Adam uses breeze nasal pillows and is great for side sleepers. The mask is so compact, I bought a spare to keep in my suitcase for travel. This...

Re: respironics m series plus cflex

I've owned a Remstar Auto with C-flex since 2006. It became my travel machine when I got bought my ResMed S9 recently. The machine has alway made the same noises you are talking about. It took a while but I got used to it.
