Re: Hole In Roof
And sometimes, a house with a hole in the roof, is just a house with a hole in the roof.

Nasal Pillows---how do you use them?
I got a nasal pillow mask last year; I used the smallest end, and didn't remember what to do with it. It wouldn't stay just barely inside my nostrils, and wouldn't go any further in. I've mastered several masks, all nasal or full face, but after a year, I can't remember how it's supposed to go in. I...

Re: Apria strikes again
I had nothing but trouble with Apria when my insurance forced me to use them. Especially when it meant leaving the RT who had handled my cpap and me quite well from the beginning of therapy. So when I got Medicare as primary, I changed back to Lincare and have been there since.

I was a lurker for over a year because everytime I registered, the site wouldn't register me. I run into this problem with other message boards; my Internet Explorer isn't up to date. But it works fine now!

Re: WANTED: A FFM that doesn't leave a red stripe
I'm stuck on the UltraMirage ffm. I tried on others, but the forehead get pads work best for me. There is no part of the mask able to create a groove in the nose. That's what I like best about the mirages--they don't rest on the bridge of the nose. My very early masks were so painful I dreaded putti...

Re: Recovery Room Anesthesia
I woke up during mine and remember saying, I wish I could see the screen (no glasses); I also remember being woken by my own snore and gasp for air after several minor procedures involving sedation. Not a good feeling. Where are those people I told about my apnea, and the ones giving me more drugs t...

Re: SUFFOCATION IS POSSIBLE
We had a power outage and the lack of air made me start perspiring, which woke me up. I could breathe quite well. The room air came in through the ventilating holes. You'll get it worked out, but if you want to change anything, do it now before your 30 days are up.

Re: Options for not using humitifier
I use Ayr saline gel in my nose and it keeps things moist all night. I can keep my humidifier low, because too high and I feel like I can't breathe..

Re: By dose! Id is addoying be!
No kidding about the Afrin! I'm in the midst of using it once daily. This happens once a year--in the winter. Then my allergist prescribes Astelin spray, which actually fixes the problem with my nose, temporarily. I recently got a full face mask to use when I'm congested. But I'm finding I don't bre...
