Re: using cpap and treadmill together......
I read this post thinking why would someone want to do this, but then I started thinking. CPAP increases your functional residual capacity in your lungs so it expands the bases of your lungs with the positive pressure. If most of the bloodflow is in the bases of your lungs and you are getting more o...

Re: ResScan 3.10 -> 3.11
I have the Resmed link, but would like to see what is being shared on CPAPtalk. Do you have to fill out Resmed's form with your organization name etc or is it a direct link.
Thanks,
Kevin
Thanks,
Kevin

Same here. I wonder if manufacturers have to put that warning in their manual for legal reasons??? Thanks for your input.

Help with an invention
Hi, I know this is off topic from CPAPs but I have an idea for oxygen patients that use conserving devices. I was wondering if anyone on CPAPtalk has any bluetooth engineering experience. There are probably other more suited forums to ask on, but CPAPtalk gets such a divers group I wanted to ask her...

Re: Is a prescription required for a pulse oximeter?
This was taken from another popular site that sells oximeters without prescription. They state that they require it, but you can checkout and get one without a rx. Do I need a Prescription to purchase from you? Many of the products we sell are listed as Class II Medical Devices by the Food and Drug ...

Re: Mirage Quattro Nose Smasher
I have been working with the quattro for a while and it is a great mask, but for alot of people it makes marks. I have recently came across Sequal's Sleep Comfort Care Pad •Decreases skin breakdown and facial sores •Acts as a barrier between mask and skin •Improves mask comfort- nasal & full face •R...

Switching fingers every 2 hours with pulse oximeter???
Hi again, I am asking the experts for opinions about this. I received an email about the CMS-50F wrist pulse oximeter asking about using it for overnight oximetry studies. He pointed out that the manual states: Uncomfortable or painful feeling may appear if using the device ceaselessly, especially f...

Re: Is a prescription required for a pulse oximeter?
Thanks for your comment Wulfman. I have ordered from several sites that "requre" a prescription. They state that it is required but I have not once been asked for one. Once I click to checkout, it doesnt seem to be an issue. They are also listed on amazon and ebay without prescription. I just don't ...

Is a prescription required for a pulse oximeter?
I have read several posts and also bought dozens of pulse oximeters for customers from other suppliers and have never once been asked if I have a prescription. I started selling oximeters and don't want to screw up by not requiring a prescription, but since nobody else is, I don't know why I would h...

Re: Pulse Oximeters
I am going to start a post for this. I don't think that the FDA is requiring a prescription for an oximeter but check out the post and see what you think. It basically states that if the user can read and interpret the instructions safetly a prescription is not needed. But I may be misinterpreting it.

It sounds like you are getting some good advice on getting things under control. The only other option I have for you is to contact CHAP who is Lincare's accrediting agency.
Good luck.
Kevin

Re: Pulse Oximeters
You are right about first class being much cheaper. It is between 6 and 10 dollars. I am going to package up my oximeters and see if they will go cheaper but the usps shows that 20.00 is the cheapest rate for lowest weight package. If I find a cheaper rate I will offer it.
Thanks,
Kevin
