Swift I vs. Swift II

I recently upgraded to the Swift II after using the original Swift for over a year. The Swift was a Godsend -- I had given up on CPAP therapy years before because of mask issues, but the Swift was perfect. So I was excited to upgrade to the new, improved version. However, I have had recurring proble...

I tried this last night. Needs some tweaking on my part if I am going to do it consistently. Too much goo! I was up 25 minutes later washing, rubbing and spitting it all out and plastering the trusty 2" Durapore tape on my puss. SB I had the same result; tried two nights in a row, couldn't get it t...

I don't own Respironics stock, but I was seriously considering it because I love my new RemStar M Plus. I like buying stock in companies whose products I use. The market reaction to the M series launch might have a lot to do with the stock's upward movement. I'm no stock market expert, but there are...

I understand what Elizabeth is saying. Typically I am more stopped up and congested in the summer with the humidity than in the winter with the cold. A long time ago I worked at an ice cream shop and whenever I would stop up, I would walk into the cooler and stay for a few minutes until my sinuses ...

Vaseline in the Nose is regularly administered by Drs!!!

Strange, when I was a kid and hospitalized they needed to stick a tube in my nose and down to my stomach. And what did they use to lube the tube before putting it in my nose? You guessed it, petroleum jelly. I also remember getting recurring nose bleeds one time and seeing the doctor. He diagnosed t...

Auto OFF!!!

Ahh, you are right, Fujiinator! I just reviewed the manual and saw that I can change this under patient controls. Now that I think of it, the DME mentioned during set up that he turned off the function that sounds an alarm when the mask comes off...maybe this is connected/the same thing or he desele...

I've been on the RemStar M Plus for six nights now, and I'm very happy with the machine. Like Fujiinator, I really like the size of the machine, particularly since I travel alot. Also nice that it doesn't take up a lot of space on my nightstand. But I also just like the styling and the design -- I'v...

Tn-Ken -- I'm glad you're having such immediate success! It's a breath of fresh air (pun intended) compared to all the "3rd day, still fatigued" postings. But I'm curious as to how your doctor determined the proper pressure setting without an overnight sleep study...I had always thought the split ni...
