Re: Favor - Borrow an S8 USB or card reader?

P.S. A recommendation/preference concerning the card reader vs. the USB adapter would also be appreciated. I'm leaning toward the USB adapter since it's less expensive and I have a notebook PC that I can set next to the CPAP machine to download data.

Thanks again.

Favor - Borrow an S8 USB or card reader?

I recently got an S8 Autoset II from my DME. I would like to see how my pressures are doing during the night. I downloaded the ResScan 3.10 software, but I don't have a card reader or USB cable (yet). I've seen elsewhere on cpaptalk.com that I can get either the card reader or cable from one of seve...

Re: Newbie, gastric sufflation, setting pressure lower

Thanks to those of you who have posted back to me, sent PM's, etc. It really is great having folks who I can consult with as I go through this. Current status is I still have some abdominal pain, so my GP suggested a CT scan with the drinkable contrast (yummy!). Didn't see anything on that, so I'm g...

Re: Newbie, gastric sufflation, setting pressure lower

Well, thanks for the useful (and sometimes colorful) feedback. I had no idea my post would lead to offers of drives to Key West! I think what I'm hearing is that a fully-data-capable APAP machine with software is what will help me get my average pressure down, allow peaks up to my titration pressure...

Re: Newbie, gastric insufflation, setting pressure lower

I admit to not being an expert on the difference between aerophagia and gastric insufflation, but I was not able to "relieve" the pressure/pain in the morning (I had experienced a little air in my stomach during the sleep study with CPAP, but this was gone shortly after waking up). I think the diffe...

Newbie, gastric sufflation, setting pressure lower

Thanks for this website -- it's great! I've done some reading already, but am having trouble finding help for my particulars... I got my CPAP machine the other day (REMStar 100M) and used it one night. It blew me up like a balloon (pressure set at 11). I was miserable for most of the day (I still ha...
