Re: Guys--Do you like the Swift FX or the Swift Lt better?
I have been using the Swift FX for the past year and I don't really care for anything else. On occasion I will have to use a nasal mask when I experience a sore spot in my nares (always the same spot). I have a beard and moustache and have not had problems with it.

Re: How did YOU Resolve Your Mouth-Leaks? (poll)
I use tape with a moustache along with the headgear I posted earlier in this thread. It works just great for me. Haven't had a leak since I started using tape with it.pdean44 wrote:Wish i could use the tape method but have a mustache.

Re: The data from my new S9 confuses me?
Uncle Bob, it would be difficult to tape my mouth unless I shaved off my mustache. But I don't think I am leaking from my mouth with the nasal mask. The Swift LE bothered my upper lip / gum, but it never felt like it was leaking when I rolled over on my side. So I will buy one online next week and ...

Re: Have appointment with Sleep doc in few hours.
It sounds like you are ready to go. Just stick to your guns and don't back down. You don't have to be snarky just be polite but firm. This is the rest of YOUR life, not the doctor's. You are the one that hired the doctor and you can hire another one.

Ever Seen This?
I recently purchased a new S9 Autoset for my wife, along with the Swift FX mask. Everything seems to be working very well but the readouts seem a bit odd. http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx160/CJPainter/April%2021/April21-1.jpg http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx160/CJPainter/April%2021/April21...

Re: new and very frustrated
Welcome, One of the first things I would check is whether or not your mask headgear is too tight. Most masks should be fitted fairly loose. A couple of things we need to know to offer some advice: What type of mask are you using? Specifically what machine are you using? Complete your profile so that...

Re: Acid Reflux
Over the last week I have been dealing with some kind of acid reflux thing. Woke up this morning feeling pretty uncomfortable. I was on prilosec for a while so it looks like i may have to go back to that for a while. Just wish this body of mine would cooperate now and then. Have you ever been check...

Re: Chemically sensitive to Mirage Swift II material
I would contact your Dr and request a specific prescription for the Breeze, with "Dispense as written" on the script, and present it to your DME. If they can't provide you with the equipment that you need then find a new DME. It should not be their decision as to which equipment you get to use.

Re: Nasal pillows for side sleepers?
The other thing that is happening is that I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. My oldest daughter has one right now, and I feel like I'm just in the beginning stages myself, so it may be my only night to play with the Swift for a few days. I have a FF mask to use if my nose is too congested, bu...

Re: 1st Post; New to CPAP; Swift FX Issues
One of the suggestions I found here was the use of Lansinoh Lanolin on your nares to help protect your nares and to provide a slightly tacky surface to help seal the pillows to your nose. I have been using the Swift FX and Lansinoh for the last couple of weeks and find that it works as advertised. ...

Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
Rooster, send Grandma that picture you sent me. She needs it. I swear, every time I read this thread, my left foot starts aching again. I don't notice it until I read this thread. Heck, maybe I need a pair of shape-ups now. KSO's... NO WAY! For one thing, the "feet stink" issue is a big one for me....

Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
If he had the regular KSOs they may be a little too light unless you have spent some time in them and have your feet prepared. I took a few short walks in the area of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in regular KSOs and could feel every rock. For rough country you would be better off with the KSO ...

Re: OT: Skechers Shape-ups
Craig, I did an 8-mile run over our two little peaks this morning. As I was headed to the parking lot a guy was coming in wearing Five-Fingers KSO. He was getting ready for a hike over some very rocky terrain with his kids. He said this would be his first day wearing them except for an extensive tr...
