Re: Why can't I find the right nasal pillow?!

For a year I have been using the Comfort Gel Nasal Mask. In the last 2 months the mask (a new one) began to rub my skin raw around my nose, I have pressure headaches through the day/night and I've noticed that since I began therapy my teeth have shifted from the pressure of the mask laying on my upp...

Condensation in mask only

I've been on the hose for 9 months now. And for maybe the last 5 days I've been getting condensation in my mask only. There is no moisture in the hose at all...just the mask and the tube connecting to the hose. Any idea what is going on? Its quite annoying to wake up and have water dripping down you...

Thank you. I did it and it asked for an unlock code, which I do not have.

Both my kids have one in their rooms and they've been going strong for 5 yrs. You can make it as loud or soft as you want. I think its worth the $.

AVG Leak?

I checked my numbers this morning after not doing it in awhile and my AHI is between 1.0 & 2.6 which I feel really good about! I did see that I have an AVG leak between 18 & 20. Any suggestions how how to lower that or is that not a big deal? Still learning here...

Re: Newbee Here Has A Girl Question

Hello There, I am new here. I have been using the Cpap for about 6months now. It's been good. No problems except the fact that the mask leaves me with a kind of red rash like on my face because where the mask is placed. Do any of you ladies out there get that too and if so, are you able to cover it...

Re: Pulling mask off while sleeping

Brobbi.... Here's a possible answer: I think it has to do with your sub-conscious....it isn't sold on the project yet. Here's what I mean: I think we shift to a 2nd brain when we are asleep. This gives our primary (conscious) brain time to do "maintenance" and refresh itself. The sub-conscious take...

Pulling mask off while sleeping

I started my xpap journey in Feb. And I feel like overall I've done fairly well with it. Some nights are harder than most but I'm working through and I'm being diligent about wearing the mask, etc. However I seem to go in spurts of pulling the mask off/turning the machine off in my sleep without rea...

Re: Palpitations or what?

I agree, the PVC's do really take your breath away, mostly though they're harmless and most people get them. If you get an aching pain around them then this does usually mean there's something more going on. e.g. high blood pressure, stress etc. I usually get them when I'm heavy stressed, drink a l...

Re: Palpitations or what?

The visiting nurse was picking up some PVCs on her exams so hubby's cardiologist put him on a 24hr Holter Monitor and everything was OK. Dr said many people have them and some like my husband don't even feel them. When I had my sleep study, they found PVC's. I did the echo, ekg & holter monitor and...

Re: Hubby had Titration - finally!

I'm so glad he finally got in for the study! Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes smoothly w/ the insurance. I know all too well about having my hubby in the other room...I hated it, so I understand you wanting back with you.

Keep us posted!

Re: Skin Irritation

I have the comfort gel nasal mask and after the 1st week of wearing it I broke out around my nose where the mask sits. It cleared up quickly & I haven't had an issue since. Two of my friends that are on cpap had the same thing happen. I know its annoying but work through it, its worth it!

Re: What does this mean?

In answer to your question Brobbi, periodic breathing as I understand it is abnormal respiration in which periods of shallow and deep breathing alternate, and you usually find that apneas will occur either side of the wave forms. So when looking at a waveform graph on the machine, and you should be...
