Attempting to get the leak to "0" would not be realistic; CPAP masks have what they call an intentional leak - the expired air has to go somewhere. As long as your leak is under the acceptable intentional leak then you are getting the proper pressure from the CPAP.

If your Dr. is a sleep certified, then NO! this is not right. Most of the manufacturers supply the software and readers at no charge, so it sounds more like a lack of willingness to go beyond the perfunctionary duties of the Physician.
