Re: Machine replacement: Strike one!

Joe, I am frequent lurker here, but I wanted to pop in and give you a quick experience that might empower you. Back around the beginning of the year, my doctor ordered an auto for me. I had just had a horrible experience falling asleep in a meeting with executives at my new job. My prescription had ...

Re: Data - What and how to share

When they raised your pressure, in the psg -- was it to control apneas or to control hypopneas? Do you see the pressure going to 12 and more -- ever? I don't see that happening on the graphs you posted. OziJ - I do not have the new study yet. They went over it with me a few weeks ago and I need to ...

Re: Data - What and how to share

Julie and OziJ - Thanks for the very helpful information. I am still baffled on the hypoapneas. Before I bury my earlier question again, can anyone explain to me what the number and amplitude indicates on an apnea on the graph? I assumed time in seconds, but if you drill down on data, one will hit a...

Re: Data - What and how to share

Thanks so much for your replies. Let me try it this way and see if it looks better than the other way. This is last night, which was clearly yuckier. When I start putting it together, I think that I may need to raise the lower limit pressure to 8 or 9. On the second one, I drilled down to the first ...

Re: Data - What and how to share

That is a perfect answer. Thank you so much for responding. Here is the last two nights data, at least what I believe will be useful. http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/jimplasticguy/Autopap%20data/0224Autopap-1.jpg http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/jimplasticguy/Autopap%20data/0225Auto...

Data - What and how to share

Friends, I have had the S8 Autoset II set up for 4 nights now and am downloading to ResScan Software. I started typing an introductory message that I think is way too much info to start. If interested, I can add my history. The bottom line is that I have had apnea for quite some time, and have been ...

Re: ResScan Software & USB cable

I solved my problem. As promised, for future generations, here is one way to make it work. Problem - Windows 7 64 bit operating system will not run ResScan software (specifically driver for USB connection) Use Windows 7 Virtual XP mode (You may need Ultimate version of Windows 7 for this unfortunate...

Re: ResScan Software & USB cable

Thank you, IMTired. I must have missed the "bold print" at the bottom.
I will reinstall in Virtual XP mode on Windows 7 which is a 32 bit Virtual Machine within the 64 bit operating system. I will report back here when I solve it so that we can capture for others with the same issue.

Re: ResScan Software & USB cable

I am currently getting up and running on a Resmed S8 Autoset II. The doctors and DME here are really jumpy about you trying to understand your own health treatment, and generally unhelpful. I suspect this has to do with income streams. As my insurance company has seen fit to give an exclusive deal t...

Re: New member Moving to BIPAP- Your help and advice appreciated

Thank you, John. The system one looks like an update to what I have been using, which is nice. I just need to see how this will go with the DME tomorrow. I can get some reimbursement if I go out of network with CPAP.com, and my wife and I are of a mindset just to get what we need, even if we need to...

New member Moving to BIPAP- Your help and advice appreciated

I am looking for a good new travel/home Bi-PAP with good data capabilities. Size is a big factor. I am looking for good data capabilities so that I can get early warning rather than go through what I did over the last year. I apologize for the lengthy message. Here is a bit more detail. I was diagno...
