Re: Best nasal pillow mask (2013)

I think the invisalign orthodontic system is essentially clear plastic inserts, so it would seem that it may be possible that any kind of mouth guard (I'm thinking of the kind I used to wear in highschool sports) worn over time could cause some tooth movement. Would certainly be worth talking to a ...

Best nasal pillow mask (2013)

Hello y'all, Sorry I disappear for long periods of time and just pop up, but you are the absolute best for CPAP information, so... I have used the ResMed Swift FX pillow mask for years. For some (grateful) reason, my body chemistry doesn't seem to deteriorate body products (glasses, contacts, watche...

Best autoset available?

I've been out of touch with this board for a long time, and I need some advice. I've been using Resmed for almost 20 years. Never had a problem with any of my machines, ever. I am brand loyal to a fault, and I am ready to upgrade my machine, again. I will most likely buy a ResMed 9i Autoset w/humidi...

Re: S8 AutoSet software question

Gold square is up in the reader. Drivers, I'm not sure. I will uninstall and re-install 3.16 and let you all know.

Thanks

S8 AutoSet software question

I just downloaded ResScan 3.16 for my S8 Autoset II. Have the correct card reader, Won't recognize my card reader or let me load my data. I for the life of me don't understand ResScan's software numbering system, and it seems no one else does, either. Does ResScan have a new, expensive, proprietary,...

Re: Thank You For Pad-a-Cheek

Thank you all for introducing me to this fine product. My Swift FX, with its factory, thin cheekpads, would still leave deep furrows in my cheeks for over an hour after I woke up. I read this article and thought, "Hey, what the hey," and decided to try them. Unable to do anything in my life less tha...

You are still green IF you believe your DME....
You're right, my "...heard it from my DME..." statement was a faux pas. I retract the statement.

Re: My ResMed S8 Autoset portable power solution

I decided against a directly wired, fused, properly gauged 12 VDC solution because I don't think the potential benefits outweigh the possible risks to the S8. What risks to the $8? I simply reversed the connector for my Respironics and powered up an S8 I have laying around. http://www.cpaptalk.com/...

Re: Do I need to use the DC-12 for my S8

I know ResMed wires their connector backwards from the generally-accepted standard of pin positive. There is no convention for barrel connectors, its about 50/50 across the commecrial low voltage DC market on whether the centre pin is + or - Other than that, is there ANY reason you experts know of ...

Re: Oddly, All Distilled Waters Are Not Equal

I have used Walmart distilled water for some time with no problems at all. It is bottled by Premium Waters in Ft. Worth, Texas. The label states, "PROCESSED BY: Steam Distillation, Carbon Filtration, Reverse Osmosis, Ultraviolet Treatment, Microfiltration, Ozonation." But I intend to check out othe...

Re: Oddly, All Distilled Waters Are Not Equal

I typically buy my distilled water from Walgreen's drug store but I have used distilled water from Walmart without problem. One thing that I wonder about is whether some people think their buying distilled water and mistakenly buy drinking water instead. The jugs of water look similar and I've at t...

Re: Oddly, All Distilled Waters Are Not Equal

I have been using distilled water from Walmart for five years with no problems. Plus 1 .... no plans to change. I suspect people who use distilled water and find slim in their tank are using tap water to clean their tank. I suspect the same thing. People introduce more bacteria when rinsing with ta...

Re: Oddly, All Distilled Waters Are Not Equal

I have used Johnson's Baby Shampoo on all my plastic equipment for years with no problem. I soak my S8 H4i dehumidifier with a squirt of Johnson's in the sink with hot water for about 30 minutes, empty it, then run cold water into it for about two or three minutes. Never any problems. Smells great ...
