Re: Poll: How Long to Adjust & Start Sleeping Restfully?
Reading the replies has shown me my experience is not uncommon - the first night I got 9 hours of lovely, uninterrupted sleep and woke up feeling better than I had in years. I fell in love with CPAP immediately. Then leaks, headgear discomfort, and other mask problems took a bit of the shine off, so...

Re: Question for headrest users
I couldn't use the ComfortLite because it hurt my nose, so I got the Headrest and I LOVE it! It has the softest nose pillows I've encountered. I wear it almost every night, but once every couple of weeks I give my nares a rest by using one of the nasal masks I bought when searching for the perfect m...

Re: Mirage Activa?
I like my Activa LT now that they've come out with a gel cushion in Small. The regular silicon cushion is pretty hard, imho - it bruised my cheek bone when I slept on my side. The gel cushion improves that. I also like the ComfortGel. I wear whichever one I can get to seal that night. I've only been...

Re: Naproxen Sodium 220 mg (Aleve) and Sleep Architecture
Wow! Reading these posts have been great. I take 440 mg Aleve at bedtime, have been long before I started CPAP, and I always felt it helped me sleep. Now I suspect that it just prevented joint pain from keeping me awake. Since you said the nurse agreed it impeded sleep, I'm going to try something el...

Re: New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?
I got one, and didn't have any luck at all with it the first night - it leaked badly every time I moved, and it sounded like I was in the flight path of a 747. I also felt like I couldn't breathe. I liked the nasal pillows on the Swift LT for Her so much, and I wish these were the same. I may try us...

question about VSI
Does anyone know what it means when your VSI is always in the 400-600 range? My pressure is 8, my AHI varies from .5 to 5, and I have some leaks, but not huge. The VSI is that high whether I wear the AIOMED Headrest, Activa LT, ComfortGel, or any other mask. I've read some posts here that quoted rea...

Re: Finally Ordered Smart Card Reader!
[quote="Hawthorne"]gladtosleep- The machine you show is a Respironics machine not a Resmed machine. Wow! I can't believe I was so stupid - thanks for the catch! I have a Respironics M Series. Do you know what software and cardreader I need? I'll try researching it, but this forum is terrific for lea...

Re: Finally Ordered Smart Card Reader!
Would you mind sharing where you got the software and reader? I ordered the Resmed software from eBay, and the card reader from an online DME (very expensive!) but I can't get the software to read anything from the card reader. I saw on one of the posts that the card has to be upside down, so I've t...
