Well, I guess I can replace my two s9 Auto-sets, though I got the first in late March 2010, so it's likely a bit overdue.
One shows 15,664 hours, the other 13,420 hours, which comes out to over 7 hours a day for 11 years. That seems like pretty good compliance.

Re: What's Going On With The Forum
I'd be happy if an option to just hide any posts from users who have posted under multiple names was available. For example, judeyo posted in a Resmed Mini forum as "First post". but that's only true if you ignore the 25-30 other names under which the same user has posted. I don't trust anything tha...

Or in the case of my 12 year old Remstar "TANK", let it be out a few years, By then the bugs are out, (with older versions of XPAP Quality was better). Basically there were few problems with "TANKS", after 12 years it's working flawlessly, every night! Something you will never see on the new greate...

Re: Hose hangers: Bro Gho vs Arden Innovations
I have the Arden hose lift and am happy with it. I travel a lot and it collapses easily into a flat package. There are 72 reviews for it already on CPAP.com with an average score of 4.5, so I'm not the only one that likes it.

Re: Climateline woes
I had a similar problem after about two weeks. The climateline hose kept failing, dropping out of climateline mode. I had seem one message the the hose had failed. CPAP.com replaced the climateline hose with a new one and it's be fine for over 4 months.

Re: CPAP battery operation and transport by air
I'm sure the policy varies by airline, but on United if you provide sufficient notice prior to a long haul flight (I think it's more than 48 hours), they can run power to your seat to for your CPAP.
I haven't done it yet, but I think I read about it on FlyerTalk.com.

Re: Weird S9 Problem with Stats
Check the time on the unit.
It wipes the daily totals for stats every day at noon, so if you look after that time you'll see 0 for the current day instead of numbers for last night.

Re: Just looking for some encouragement
Actually, it's completely normal for you to breathe using one nostril at a time--it is regular behavior. Through out the day at about 4 hour intervals, a person breathes through alternate nostrils, allowing each side time to recover from the task of hydrating, warming, and filtering incoming air. He...

Re: S9 ClimateLine hose problem and fix
The S9 would either not report that a ClimateLine hose was connected (so the humification symbol was just a drop of water instead of a thermometer/drop of water. If it did correctly recognize it, sometimes in less than a second it would revert to thinking a standard hose was attached. When the mode ...

Re: New member, S9 noise (detailed).
In my case, it's running in APAP mode with a 4-12 pressure range. I'm mostly concerned because I've traveled with it and just got back from a trip Friday and wonder if I bumped it or something. It isn't as loud as the first poster mentioned, but I don't recall noticing any sound when I inhaled. Then ...

Re: New member, S9 noise (detailed).
Any update on this? Curious because for the last 3 nights my previously silent S9 appears tohave the same problem. Every breath is amplified at the base. It absolutely didnot sound like this before. I don't know what happened. It's not loud enough that it's keeping me awake, but it does seem to be g...

Re: Resmed: Suggestions for improving the S9 range
Oh for heaven's sake, so far as I'm concerned the smiley face is fine. I only care if the mask fits adequately. Beyond that I can check the leak rate to determine if I have fit issues while sleeping. For the majority of users, I'd suggest that the 5-point scale of mask fit likely proved confusing an...

Re: How long until I feel the benefits of CPAP
You didn't mention how long you've been on CPAP therapy, but the fact you are no longer getting up multiple times each night to go to the bathroom is a good indicator that the therapy is effectively reducing nighttime arousals related to apnea. I've been on therapy for just about 3 weeks, and that i...

Re: S9 ClimateLine hose problem and fix
I had a similar problem with my first ClimateLine hose, but in my case I needed a warranty replacement. It seemed fine at first but after the error message it kept dropping out--the S9 intermittently switched out of climate control and into standard humidification. I got the new hose last Friday and...

Re: Brand new, need help working with DME.
After my sleep study, I had an appointment with one of their doctors and explained that I wanted: 1) a full data capable machine, 2) an APAP just in case we needed to adjust treatment (rather than possibly having to replace a CPAP), and a heated hose to prevent rainout. He was completely happy to wr...
