Cure for apnea
On my first visit to Dr. Sleepy after my first test (Dec. '09) I asked if I would ever get over my apnea. He said, "Well, if you lost about 50 pounds...". I was 185 lbs. (65 year old female, 5'2") at the time. Well, that wasn't going to happen so I joined the forum, got help on choosing my CPAP, got...

Re: Air bubble in mouth

RE getting new model: I chose my Escape model precisely because it does not give out a readout. If it works and I...

Air bubble in mouth
I have been using Resmed Escape for seven years. Lately switched to Swift X Bella nasal mask and I love it. I had a sleep test (first since diagnosis) and my pressure was increased from nine to twelve. In the last few weeks I am getting a lttle bubble of air that forms at the back of my mouth near t...

I need help choosing a CPAP unit
I was diagnosed with apnea (40 per hour/ 73% oxygen) in December and have been using a trial CPAP (pressure set at 8cm) since early January. It's time to decide on which machine to buy. I've been using a Remstar Pro M series. I like the ramping device that goes from 4 to 8, and the pressure release ...
