Re: Call me a Freak but...

Another "freak" here I remember talking to friends who had the cpap machine way before I even knew I had a problem and they complained all the time about how hard it was to get used to - while I'm sure that there are many people who have a hard time adjusting, I LOVE it as well.

Re: another confused new kid on the block

You've already gotten some great advice here but I wanted to say "Welcome". I'm a newbie too and have been on the cpap machine for just over a month - my daily headaches are gone, my thinking is sharp and I'm feeling better than I have in a few years.

All the best of luck to you

Re: Low-carb eating: reporting in

Hello to other SA and LC folks here. I've been low carbing since 2003 and sincerely believe in this way of eating. I joined this forum recently when I was diagnosed with SA and have been using my machine for around a month and am really happy with how much better I feel. From the days when I had a L...

Re: New to CPAP

CPAP-Wolf and Grandmma, thanks for the warm welcome. It is nice to have a place to come and discuss this issue as well as read up on what others are dealing with. I've slept every night with the CPAP and frankly am afraid not to since I now know the problems associated with not treating the sleep ap...

Re: New to CPAP

John, I can definitely believe that others have felt the same way as well. Marietjie, thanks. I ended up with the same mask that I used for the final sleep test and it seems to fit very well without any leaks - I don't move around all that much when I sleep though I do tend to sleep a bit on my face...

Re: New to CPAP

Thanks so much Snorkler (Love that name LOL). I really shouldn't have complained about the wait, I mean it's only two days but after feeling so good this morning, I want more of that

New to CPAP

I'm so glad I found this Forum as I've been recently diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. Last night I did another sleep study to see what air pressure should be prescibed. While I slept horribly at the center (all the wires and getting used to the mask over my nose), I woke up feeling better and more refres...
