Everyone,
I have noticed that on the s9 unit I am waking up really dry about 6 hours into treatment. The tank is bone dry. I didnt have this issue on the S8. Am I doing something incredibly wrong?
Any workarounds?
Pat

Re: My nose skin is dry and flacky and face breaks out
Lansonoh worked better for me then KY.
And use the remzzzz's.
Also, the break out stuff was a bacteria issue for me. When I clean my mask, I was just using soap and water, after adding a cup of clorox to the dishpan, then all my problems went away with that.

New S9 Quesitons
Everyone, I was doing very well with an S8 Autoset, but after having the 3rd one fail in 6 months, my DME gave me an S9. I wish the footprint was the same, the way the humidifier came out the front was perfect for my bedroom layout. In any case, my AHI has dropped from an average of 7 to an average ...

FYI, I repeated the test last night, and my AHI dropped to .5.

Re: APAP versus CPAP
I just switched my machine from CPAP to APAP. It is SOOOO much better. My pressure was 18, and now I have the range set from 14-20. I usually hang out around 16. This stops the bloating issues, and really helps with my dry mouth.

ReScan Question
I have been collecting data from my APAP machine now for about 4 weeks. I noticed on some days I have detailed records and on other days I dont. How do I make the machine collect the detailed records every day?

Interesting Sleep Results on Cough Syrup
Everyone,
Last night I took a teaspoon of Tussien prescription cough syrup. I dont think I woke up once last night.
Interestingly enough, my AHI was 2.3 (usually around 6) and my max pressure was 14.6 (usually 19.6).
Any ideas why the improved results?
Pat

Re: sleep medication while using apap?
Hi Sue, glad that you have tone down your C-Flex to 1. This approach has helped me in the past on top of putting the CAP machine on top of a thick plastic (like computer mouse pad) You might want to disable this completely to decrease the noise further if needed. However I prefer using A-Flex, this...

Re: salt in humidifier for congestion
Never noticed the salty taste in the air when you are near the ocean. I am guessing some salt would be picked up. You might start with using standard saline solution and see how that works out?

Even with the humidifier, my first 30 days were that way. It just like you had to get used to it.

Re: Machine change tonight
Three things that are MUCH MUCH better about the S8 machine. 1. The water warmup feature is GREAT. 2. Much quieter. 3. Lighted controls. It feels like the ERP relief is significantly better then the FLEX relief and it ACTUALLY seems to be in rhythm with my breathing. Actually, it doesn’t feel like a...
