Re: chin strap recommendation?
I like the Ruby Topaz. Mine's a little tight because of my big head but it's very well made.

New Sleep Study
I've been on CPAP since August 2009 and have not experienced much of a difference in the way I feel. I recently was referred to a pulmonologist and after reviewing my situation he initially suggested that I might need a BiPAP device instead of CPAP. I had another sleep study last night and will like...

NUGIVIL
NUVIGIL is a prescription medicine used to improve wakefulness in adults who experience excessive sleepiness due to obstructive sleep apnea, shift work sleep disorder, or narcolepsy. I visited my neorologist last week and reviewed my sleep OSA diagnosis in July 2009 and my subsequent CPAP treatment ...

Re: OT: Ambien side effects!!!
I just recently switched to CR but I still have the regular 10mg Ambien so I'm using it to start my weaning process. I started last night with half of a 10mg but it wasn't enough. I'm planning on staying with 10mg for a few days and then starting a slow taper from there. Thanks for your input everyo...

Re: OT: Ambien side effects!!!
I was first introduced to Ambien about 10 years ago when I was traveling frequently to China. I typically had problems controlling my sleep patterns during and for a few days after my return and I used the drug to at least get 5-6 hours of sleep. It was really helpful and I generally was off of it w...

Re: Forma FFM question
Hi Ka-ann,
I have a Forma mask that came with a medium and large cushion and the medium does not fit me. It has not been used and I'd be glad to send it to you. Send me an email.

Re: Post your favorite mask
My Mirage Activa LT is really comfortable but I have problems with mouth leaks that I am currently trying to resolve. I've tried a few FFM's and I'd say yhe Quattro is the most comfortable but I can't get it to seal very well. Still working at it!!!

Re: New Equipment and S8 Elite II data questions
Hi Folks, I have the same equipment and I've been charting my data every night working at finding the best interface. So far, the my Activa with mouth taping has produced the best numbers (I'm a bad mouth breather). I have a leak problem with all of the FFM's that I've tried. Regarding the software,...

Re: Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire! Then, Deep Sleep.
Hi Bob, Thanks for posting your story. You're a great example of perserverence and I'm encouraged to continue on my journey toward successful treatment. I have similar mouth breathing issues so I can identify with where you've been. I have a couple of questions: 1. What is the most effective taping ...

Re: How did YOU Resolve Your Mouth-Leaks? (poll)
I started with an Activa nasal mask and soon discovered that I was a mouth breather, I tried a few full face masks but I have trouble maintaining a seal. My best solution has been 2" 3M painters tape. But I still need to use a full face mask when I have a cold and can't breathe through my nose.
