Re: Is there a Respironics battery guide somewhere?
I have a jump starter with a cigarette lighter port to run 12v devices (Stanley FatMax). I also have a 12v DC adapter for my DreamStation Auto. Is there any issue with using that as a battery backup for camping and/or power outages? The batteries specifically for CPAPs are pretty pricey but I will ...

Re: Is there a Respironics battery guide somewhere?
I picked this up https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P6H994Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And then installed a cigarette lighter plug in my 5th Wheel RV just in case we ever need to spend a night without shore power while traveling. I am sure this would probably work with or the...

Re: Switched from P10 to P30i
Kept having issues with leaks and also my AHI's went from 0.0-0.2 to 0.6-0.8 so I am back on my trusty old P-10.

Free new CPAP hoses...claimed
Doing some cleanup and reorganizing. Found 7 new in package CPAP hoses and one opened but never used Climateline hose (DME sent wrong one) for I believe a S9 (all I know it didn't fit my S10). I will send em free rather than throwing em out. Since it is on my own dime I will only send em all togethe...

Switched from P10 to P30i
When it was new mask time I decided to give the P30i a try. I have been using it for about a week and a half and I am having issues with leaks. I usually just check myair.com to see the previous nights results and since I have been using it my leak rates have been in the mid 20's L/min most nights. ...

Re: Went on Medicare Jan. 1st
It means I was forced off good insurance because of my age to government controlled insurance that doesn't want to me to have pay for my healthccare.CountingSheep wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 12:37 amSorry for my ignorance but what does “I went on Medicare” mean?

Re: Went on Medicare Jan. 1st
Thanks for posting. I start Medicare tomorrow. I'm still using the same ASV that I got in 2008. It topped out at 19,999 hours about three years ago. I wonder what kind of hoops I'll have to jump through to get a new machine. That's the next thing I am going go after. My A10 Auto is 7 years old and ...

Re: Went on Medicare Jan. 1st
Thought I'd update this since I finally received my cpap supplies today. My sleep doctor's office found a study from 2009 that met Medicare's guidelines. They haggled back and forth with The DME but it got approved with me not having to do a home sleep study.

Re: Went on Medicare Jan. 1st
Update: Just heard from my Sleep Doctor's Office, the scoring used in the 2013 sleep study do not meet Medicare's supposedly new guidelines. So now I have to do a home sleep study at least I don't have to go to a sleep lab. I watched a video on the home sleep study is there anything I need to know a...

Re: Went on Medicare Jan. 1st
Medicare pays for sleep studies....so no worries there. The 4 % thing is part of the criteria...4 % desat in oxygen levels associated with some sort of apnea event. Some sleep studies use the 3 % desat criteria but Medicare wants 4 % or more. Chances are your sleep study in 2013 probably used the 4...
