Re: Resmed ... I apologize
Speaking as a software professional, while the 3.7 software is capable of displaying the detailed data we all need, the UI is pathetic. From not saving state (which patient was last to not saving the data download) to the hoops you have to jump to to get the detailed data up (instead of caching a da...

Re: New Equipment and S8 Elite II data questions
I wouldn't bother with EBay for the software and it sounds like you already have a bee-line on acquiring it so no need to comment there. I've been checking my data daily for the past month. I have a USB card reader (purchased from cpap.com) and have made reviewing data part of my daily routine when ...

Re: Battery Backup Design
This is a great writeup... thank you! I do have a couple of questions for anyone who might know. 1) You mention S8's DC operation in this quote: "Other units, such as many of the ResMed S8 units, can use a DC to DC converter. Will mouth breathing with a nasal mask show as a leak?
I was always a mouth breather (deviated septum), but was convinced by my DME that I should try a nose pillow with a chin strap since I was having leak issues with a FFM. At the time I had an Escape II and could not see leak information directly... the DME told me to pay attention to dryness in my mo...

Re: EPR making results worse?
I have a short update for anyone this might help. Since turning off EPR, this is my data: AHI: 2.7 AI: 0.0 HI 2.7 I was never able to achieve AI of 0 with EPR on at 1 (though the average was quite good at .2 as I mentioned in my original post). Looks like no EPR for me is a good thing. -SoccerMan

EPR making results worse?
A quick overview since I see these questions asked a lot: 1) I'm a CPAP user for just about 1 month 2) My average data for the last 2 weeks (I don't have a card reader yet so I can't give specifics) is: Pressure: 11.0 Leaks: .15 (0 for my swift LT which I wear most of the time, .22 for my Quatro) AH...
