Re: Misdiagnosis (hell on earth) - 1 year anniversary
Thought I'd follow up with the results after this almost last post. This is my first anniversary of being on the "treatment". Since the switch to the different unit and dropping to 6-12 auto, I normally will average around .7 AHI. The machine is running in the 95th percentile at high 11s. I sleep as...

Re: Question Regarding Dental Issues
I have had increased sensitivity with some of the teeth on the side I sleep on since beginning the treatment. I had previously thought that the sensitivity was caused from the higher pressure (18-25) but I recently got dropped from VPAP to CPAP and a pressure of 6-12 and have not noticed that the se...

Re: My pressure is so high I can't find a mask to work!
My VPAP was running at 18 to 25. The only mask that I was able to use successfully was the Drive or Zzz full face mask. Because it is made of silicone and only has a bit of a frame, it is very flexible and adheres to the face well. I had to use a different headgear (ResMed Liberty Mirage), but after...

Misdiagnosis (hell on earth)
For those of you that have seen my rantings over the past 4 months you already know that I have had a very difficult time with the "treatment". Before I was shall I say "coerced" into a sleep study by my wife I lead a very active life style and did not have any of the symptoms of apnea EXCEPT for th...

Re: ResScan 3.7 ~ Only Two Days Data Stored?
Yep, each machine seems to be a bit different. My VPAP Auto SV stores 3 days of detailed data.

Re: ResScan 3.10 data download time
What the software is doing is comparing the data on the card to the data already on your machine. Once you answer the pop up the data actually downloads which is only a couple seconds. I don't know how to tell you to get it NOT to do the comparative check. There may be a configuration change on your...

Re: Does anyone drink on c-pap?
I'd never heard that you shouldn't. All things being equal, I try to maintain everything as it was before this hell. That being said, I drink, I don't drink... I normally do not drink over 2 if I do indulge though... The more I'm on this, the more I consider heavy drinking.. But I'm having a problem...

Re: Best Full Face Mask?
I tried out a good 2 dozen masks and the only one that fit, is comfortable and works well with high pressure is the Drive or ZZzz FFM. I've used it for almost 4 months and just recently replaced it with another. This was actually the last mask she had me check out.

Re: POLL Adjusting to Therapy
First let me say that I don't give up. Not ever. I am 100% compliant since I started this living hell almost 4 months ago. I never had any symptoms except for the stopped breathing during the night. AND I never knew it. ALWAYs got good sleep, felt refreshed and full of energy in the mornings and all...

Re: ZZZ Mask
Go ahead, folks, confuse me. (Like I'm not confused enough already!) The ProBasics Zzz-Mask that I am using is NOT the same mask as the Drive Zzz-Mask. The ProBasics Zzz-Mask is NOT designed to fit under the chin. (If it is then I need a large and am doing great w/a Small reaching only to below my ...

Re: Wave shapes - Central vs Obstructive Aepneas
I have no ideas how it comes about recording the difference between the two, but the ResScan 3.7 shows a CSA as just a small box or event. Because I have CSA, I record from 0 to 8 per night and apneas show up as little red mushrooms on the chart which I have maybe 1 or 2 a week, they have a number a...

Re: ZZZ Mask
I use the Drive (Zzz) FFM and have for months. I run at a pressure of 18.5 to 25 on my VPAP Auto SV. I had the same issue with the Quattro; leakage and the bloody nose bridge. I worked with the DME and tried a good 2 dozen masks before she brought out the Drive. It's worked great from the beginning....

Re: Nose tickles?
For the ultimate cheat, the Drive or Zzz FFM are flexible enough you can itch right through the mask without distrubing the seal.

Re: ResScan Install Adventure
I use 3.7, and as dtsm states there is an option for summary data, but you are wanting the detailed data which needs checked in the other boxes. On 3.7, you have the options of 1 (default) 2, 5 etc. As the VPAP Adapt SV only stores 3 days of detailed data I use the 5 option which gives me 3 days (if...
