Re: Papcap plus
That's only the papcap and not the plus. I guess the plus isn't sold anymore. Still, it's odd that I can't get Pur-Sleep to email me back.

Papcap plus
Does anyone know if the papcap plus is still sold? I've emailed Pur-Sleep a couple of times about pricing and get no response.

Re: Mirage Activa?
Well, maybe I just have a weird face. I do know that at night, it does seem that the activa lt does ride up on my face some, which I think is when the mask is chafing the bottom of my nose. And it seems to be the hard plastic part of the bottom that does it. I have to sleep with a chinstrap, and it ...

Re: Mirage Activa?
I wonder if it has to do with the amount of pressure you are using as well. I am on bipap therapy, and can't really tell you what my pressure is. What I have trouble understanding is, if you don't tighten the bottom straps and you sleep on your side or toss and turn, how do you keep the mask from sl...

Re: Mirage Activa?
I too have had problems with the Activa LT rubbing raw the area between my nostrils. The problem is, I have had the least amount of leaks with the LT, but every morning the bottom of my nose is SO sore. One user had recommended trimming the thicker plastic at the bottom of the LT mask, but I am afra...

Re: Activa LT Nose Soreness
Well, OutaSync had the same problem I did, so I don't feel completely crazy. It is difficult to describe, but it is like my nose pushes the bottom of the plastic mask out of the way and rubs in inner hard silicone piece. It probably happens when I toss and turn at night.

Re: Activa LT Nose Soreness
Thanks for the info guys. I was fit for the activa lt by my pulmonologist, so I sure hope that it is right. It doesn't smother me. When I lie down, it is fits fine. it just that it seems to ride up and maybe move up on my head before the night is over. Maybe I dont' have the top tightened down enoug...

Re: Activa LT Nose Soreness
Thanks so much for the information! I thought I was going crazy. The problem is I don't have an old one to practice on. Do I just search for nose protector on padacheeks website? So you actually cut out a place for your nose in the hard silicone part of the mask?

Activa LT Nose Soreness
Hey. I have been using the Activa LT and really have had better luck from it than any other mask. I don't have a very high leak rate. However, sometime during the night, the bottom of the mask rides up to the bottom of my nose and seems to rub it raw or sort of cut it. It has been very painful. I ha...

Back Up for BiPap Machine
I am in the South and we are getting ready to have an ice storm. I am so scared about the electricity going out, like it does every time we have an ice storm. I use a ResMed VPAP S bipap macihine and the H4i heated humidifier and have no idea what kind of battery back up to get or if you can put a ...

Is My Mask Too Small?
When I was fitted for an Ultra Mirage FF, and the DME told me that I would need a small mask, I was skeptical. I honestly have never been a small anything, but I listened to her. I have worn the FF two nights, and both nights, it seems that the mask just barely covers the corners of my mouth, pushes...

Re: Which Full-face masks are favored?
Would that be just a regular memory foam pillow or would there be special a special cpap pillow I need to look at?

Re: Which Full-face masks are favored?
I am a side/stomach sleeper and have had trouble using the swift lt at night due to the amount of pressure I have to use. I usually have a blowout at some point - that much pressure up my nose really bothers me. Anyway, I've been wanting to try a FF, and didn't now if most FF users were back sleeper...

Re: Need to Vent and get words of wisdom
Thanks so much for your wonderful comments. I definitely appreciate all of your information. Someone had mentioned using a full face mask and my question is, do all men who use a full face mask have to shave? I have a goatee on my chin that I would like to keep and have had forever, but don't know i...
