Re: A panicky newbie
First off welcome. I just wanted to let you know that you should contact the Veterns Affairs Administration. Since your doctor said that the Air Force misdiagnosed you, you would be entitled to disability benefits from the VA. OSA carries a disability benefit of 50% and I believe that it pays app $1...

Re: Choosing between two Cpap machines
To clarify some answers. The PR one does have an auto on/off feature you just have to access it through the clinicians menu. You can also view nightly data but to do that you have to reset the 7 day average every day but it shows leak rate, ahi, and periodic breathing. Another thing I like with the ...

Re: If Quattro hurt your nose, what FF mask DID work for you?
I started CPAP just over a week ago with the quattro mask. It just killed the bridge of my nose and it leaked alot. I switched to the mirage liberty and so far it works great. It is both comfortable and no leaks. I feel it also allows me more movement. I am currently waiting for my hosebuddy hose ma...

Re: Need to change CPAP pressure?
I think I agree with you. I was tritrated with a nasal pillows mask at 8 cm but I chose to use a full face mask and over a weeks time I watched my AHI's climb steadily from 7 to 14. I then talked to my RT and they put my machine in auto mode and it settled out at 10.8 cm. I think it may have climbed...

Nightly AHI question
I wouldn't consider it a trend just yet but I started CPAP 3 nights ago and my first night AHI was 7.2 the second and third night are averaged in with all 3 nights but the averages went up to 7.6 and 10.5 respectively. Now I understand it will take awhile but I am wondering if my pressure is not hig...

Re: Another Newbie!!!
Im sorry let me clarify my statement of the numbers going down. What I meant to ask is will my night AHI go down. For example last night it was 7.5 will that number go below 5 as it did when they tritrated me during my sleep study? And again sorry for the confussion.

Another Newbie!!!
Well here is my story. It started about six years ago. I used to always get off of work, come home and take a few hour nap and did not think much about it. After awhile though I started to think that this is not normal because when I woke up I was still tired. After awhile my wife started to tell me...
