Re: Deep breaths during the day
well, I talked to my sleep doc and the nurse called me back and said they can find no reason for the deep breathing. They said they were "stymied" and had no explanation, nothing in my health history. Period. They suggestion practicing breathing exercises and thought maybe its anxiety. Well, here is...

Re: Deep breaths during the day
Hi guys, thanks for all your responses. It is Sunday afternoon and I am not breathing in that manner. I rested all weekend, exercised and generally took it easy. Which leads me to believe it is stress related. Just guessing. If it continues for another week then I will call the doctor up. I think I ...

Re: Deep breaths during the day
Well, I don't smoke. I don't drink. I exercise and eat fairly well. I am thin. I don't think its anxiety, after thinking about it all day. I just feel that I need more air, I think. I feel the need to take deeper breaths. I don't know if that is good or bad, or whatever. As I am typing this, I feel ...

Re: Deep breaths during the day
Oh boy, you guys are right. I am aware of my breathing that way. And, yes, I think maybe it is anxiety? I have to think about that. I don't exhale through my mouth at night. Strictly a nose breather. But, during the day, now, like I mentioned, mostly afternoons, my breathing is deep and regular like...

Deep breaths during the day
I have been on CPAP for 4 months now. The first couple of months were good, then my AHI numbers started going up. Now they are coming down a little. But I find that I am taking deep breaths in through the nose and exhaling through the mouth in the afternoons. And not on purpose, it just happens that...

Re: AHI index rising
I don't think you should be content with an AHI of 7 and feeling "just so". If you think it's stress - do you know when the stress will be over? An alternative explanation may be that now, when you've learned to sleep with the machine and mask, you're sleeping deeper, dreaming more, and may be gett...

Re: AHI index rising
Papc, please go to the User Control Panel (upper left under the Search field) and fill out your equipment profile (select TEXT please). Without knowing what equipment you are using, it's hard to make suggestions. Please post your overnight numbers and your averages, so people know what's been going...

Re: AHI index rising
Well, I went to the sleep Doc. They had me do a Oximeter test for one night. They determined that my original sleep study with a mask was not too good because I only slept a few hours during the test. They wanted me to take another sleep test. I said I did not want another sleep study test. So I tol...

Re: Comfortlite2 - Hair flattening
Hi everyone. I am on my quest for the perfect mask. And wonder about the Comfort lite 2. Can anyone give me any info on it as far its comfort, seal or is it too combersome? What about for us side sleepers, is it good? What about being secure on the head with the hose connected, does it cause any und...

Re: AHI index rising
My unit is controlled by the Doctor via modem. So I don't think I can C Flex off. But I can turn it down to its lowest level. What will that do for me I wonder? Last night I slept better and my AHI went down to 6.9. I feel better and rested when I wake up, but then about an hour later I feel tiredne...

Re: AHI index rising
Well, I have had a few followup appointments and go back in about 11 months. I was doing so well on CPAP that my doctor told me to come back in a year. I think I will request a copy of my data.

Re: AHI index rising
Yes, my model has the data sent to the doctor and respiratory therapist (they sold me the machine). The data is sent via modem. So I am thinking I won't have access to it via software, if I had the software. Does exercise help bring down the AHI?

Re: AHI index rising
Well, I do have new cushions that I have been using. Sent to me by the people who sold me the machine. Insurance covers it. Thanks God for insurance! Last night, the seal was a little better. I have been reading about lowering the C-Flex and wonder if that might be contributing to the issue? Mine is...

AHI index rising
Hi everyone. I have been on CPAP for about 3 months or so. At the sleep study my AI is 17. My Respironics RemStar Pro M series machine and my RESMED Mirage Activa LT mask (silicone cushion) with a 6 foot hose is my equipment. My pressure setting is 6, according to my doctor. At the beginning of use,...
