Re: timestamp PR system one
To change Encore Pro 2.2.14.0 from GMT to local time, in the home screen select the Company Settings tab, in the Offices tab click the orange EDIT box, and select your time zone. See if you get more or less waveform data availability after making the change. I lost one day's worth after setting to ...

Re: CPAPauction shrinked?
I agree, things have really dropped off on the cpapauction site since the Resmed threats had their intended effect. I have seen low-hour used Respironics PR1s from time to time and at decent prices. Not too many new ones except for the Devilbiss models at a initial bid price but with a higher reserv...

Re: End Of Week Two
From the Respironics Website Periodic breathing, such as Cheyne-Stokes respiration, is recognized by a persistent waxing and waning breathing pattern. Periodic breathing is commonly associated with cardiac issues and may suggest a more serious patient condition. Advanced event detection provides the...

Re: My Respironics died during the night...
Intesting news here. Last night my PR Pro S1 shut itself off for the first time during the night. It shut off and beeped once. I thought the power had gone out momentarily. But now that I hear this is a common thing to happen with these machines I will make sure to bring it in if it continues to hav...

Re: POst Nasal Drip and CPAP
The same thing happened to me last week, caught a cold. When this happens I just switch to the full face mask and use a good nasal decongestant. The FFM works wonders for me when I have a cold. I find that I am breathing mostly out of my mouth when I first go to sleep but through the night the cpap ...

Re: Questions re PR System One auto
Thr PR System One auto is a great workhorse machine. In the winter if you have humidity/rainout issues still with the S9 you might want to try the PR System One. Thats one of its best feature. If you are buying one from someplace other than cpap.com or a good DME then you might end of with the last ...

Re: There's gotta be a way....humidity problems
I've been reading lots of the humidity threads, and have tried the suggestions to avoid dry mouth. Lowered the temps while using the auto climate, gone to manual settings and changed both temps and humidity numbers. So far, the only time I haven't had really bad dry mouth is when my humidity was se...

Re: Heated hose Development
I am currently working on a new mod update to my Reptile heater, I am taking a electronic seven day furnace thermostat, and removing the temperature thermistor from it to place inside the mask side end of my hose. I am going to run the wires back to the thermostat. For the power side I am connectin...

Re: Alcohol and CPAP
My experience is that "a few" will not disrupt normal sleep patterns. I have validated this with my Zeo. Your assumption that is that the alcohol level is high enough to induce sleep (as in an anesthesia). This would require more that "a few" in a normal adult, probably more like 6-7 drinks or a BAC...

Re: Heated hose Development
I only wish the best for all my fellow forum members but I am very worried about people trying to heat their own hose. I remember when I was in Fire School, my Hazmat instructer standing up there and saying that the fumes from things such as burning plastic were a lot more dangerous and will kill y...

Re: Heated hose Development
DHCs message puts it together in nice package and all can be had for around $35 with a Repti heat solution. I wanted to report back how well this worked when I was sleeping in a 35-50 degree F sun room/patio while deer hunting. I used an electric blanket for heat while sleeping and the Repti heater ...

Re: Remstar Auto w/A Flex vs S9 Autoset
Your experience with the DME is similar to mine from about one year ago when i was getting my first machine. I asked for Resmed but the DME talked me into Respironics. This has been the year of the Resmed S9 on these boards and probably in the CPAP community. There has been a lot of hype as Resmed a...

Re: Respironics PR System 1 users ??
I have been on CPAP for almost one year and my main machine is a PR Pro S1. So far I have been very pleased with this machine and although there are some areas of improvement that have been identified (backlight is the biggest i think), it has been a very solid machine for me. I dont understand the ...

Re: pink slime in tank?
I would start cleaning more often (every other day with mild dish soap) and make sure you are using very hot water with the dish soap when doing your vinegar and water weekly soak. When you air dry the tank put your tank on a clean white towel that has been washed with hot bleach water and then cove...
