Re: Auto bipap stuck in cpap mode for mo reason
At this point, all I want to do is get back to the settings I had before. Take a look at the screenshots below--from two nights a couple months ago, with the original settings. Would this mean I should set Min PS to 0 and Max PS to 5? http://i.imgur.com/H21e02M.png http://i.imgur.com/saAH6XR.png I b...

Re: Auto bipap stuck in cpap mode for mo reason
Thanks, I appreciate that. All this started because I thought by reducing the Max IPAP number, the machine wouldn't have to roam around in such a big area. But I didn't even realize that the Max PS number would essentially do the same thing. Last night I had Min PS 4 and Max PS 6. My AHI was 20 so t...

Re: Auto bipap stuck in cpap mode for mo reason
Thank you!
But I'm still not sure what this pressure range means. So, if min PS was 4 and max PS was 6, does that mean the difference between my ipap and epap can only be 6?

Re: Auto bipap stuck in cpap mode for mo reason
I'm thinking the PS readings of 0 could be the problem. Yep, that's why it is showing only one pressure and looks like cpap mode (sort of because cpap mode wouldn't have the pressure varying at all) but instead with PS of 0. With PS of 0 in auto mode you are only getting the one starting pressure o...

Here's a screenshot of "before"--when things were going fine http://i.imgur.com/09aw1tS.png Here's when I changed the settings, to see if I could do even better http://i.imgur.com/oYe5MKQ.png This is after I tried to revert the settings back to the way they were before http://i.imgur.com/V4ktEgG.png...

Re: Auto bipap stuck in cpap mode for mo reason
Ever since, when I check the data each morning, it gives me identical ipap and epap, which is like a cpap! But under the clinical menu I see that I'm still on "auto b." I'm confused and my ahi is going up Where are you getting the "identical ipap and epap" numbers? From the "info" section on my mac...

Re: Lost weight, but sleep apnea is worse!!
You guys are incredible! Sad to say, I didn't get my sleep study results from the first study a few years ago. All I know is that I was put on a Respironics Remstar at 7 cm, with a regular-type mask over my nose. It doesn't leak. The night of the sleep study, they put me on a Swift nose pillow mask,...

Lost weight, but sleep apnea is worse!!
Hi everyone, I visited this board a few years ago when I first got on CPAP, and everyone was really helpful. Now I have a weird situation, and I'm a wee bit scared. Over the past year and a half I've lost 25 percent of my body weight, and since I know that often cures sleep apnea (or makes it better...
