Re: AirSense 11

Palerider, do Bacillusman a favor: Take your arguments - arguments that have nothing to do with Bacillusman or this thread - Neither do your editorial commentary about your thoughts about the intellect needed to interpret OSCAR charts. The OP hasn't posed any questions that need answering, and don'...

Re: AirSense 11

If you mean, where do I get my stats that say some 50% of the population cannot fully comprehend Oscar data, that's a given as 50% of the population has an IQ of <=100. So, in other words, your 'statistics' are brown and smelly due to where you pulled them from. Please do try and label your wild gu...

I guess I'm not sure what to do thereafter with settings
If it were me, I would set it on auto min pressure 7, max pressure 10.
Max 20, let the machine do what it can to alleviate apnea, absent a compelling reason to restrict it.

Re: AirSense 11

Resmed AirSense 11 Autoset user checking in here. No issues whatsoever with the device. I am not troubled by the incomplete feedback because I understand the intent behind the application: The idea is to provide just enough information for the average person to earn 'atta-boy' support. They are mer...

Try it, report back, you'll either discover why nobody has done it before, or you'll invent something.

Re: Resmed Aircurve Water Tank Mod

For anyone who's familiar with the SoClean, the humidifier cover for that has a built-in penetration with a tube that sits below the max fill line already in place. I think that cover with an "animal feeder" type bottle would work perfect. except, everytime you turn the machine on, the increased pr...

Re: MedLock - Neat Product

Neat, but 100 bucks? No! But But But... it says "CPAP" on it, that means one HAS to triple the price. Just like every other ordinary thing that someone took and put 'CPAP' on, baby wipes? cheap, CPAP wipes? $$$ "resplabs" cpap mask cleaning wipe: $0.090818182 each Kirkland baby wipes: $0.022...

Re: Vauto and flow limitations = higher AHI?

When I was using the ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset (first 10 months of therapy) I typically used a pressure of 11-20 with an EPR of 3 resulting in a typical AHI of 0.5. Setting up the ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto with a min EPAP of 8 and max IPAP of 20 with PS 3 (which I thought was roughly the same setti...

Has anyone heard anything about the next iteration of the Bleep system called Eclipse?
I have to echo Pugsy's comment. I can't comment other than saying "I'm liking it".

Re: Resmed Airsense 11 - AC/DC adapter?

In my tests, the standard AC/DC converter in combination with a sine-wave inverter was about 64-70% efficient, while the DC/DC converter was about 72-78% efficient. Interesting, I think I've read that the standard S9 (and presumably air 10) DC/DC converter is 90%+ but I might be imagining that, or ...

Re: OSCAR v1.3.1 is released - January 23, 2022

Having been involved (in some fashion) with the development of sleepyhead from 0.98 and later (except for 1.1) and then Oscar, (though not much of late, I hope to change that), I have to say, from a somewhat insiders perspective that, The OSCAR team is AMAZING . They've pulled together and work tow...

Re: "False" CA's but isn't it still Apnea?

Thank you for taking time to answer my question. I squirm during the night because of back pain. Technically I do not turn over, I only turn once during the night. I know we all hold our breath off and on during the day. It seems like 50-81 times is excessive. And the CA’s are all preceded by errat...

Re: Why do some people hate full face masks?

In contrast, I assume a full face mask of the right size that covers the mouth and nose without leakage or excess pressure anywhere would work for almost everyone without problems, and would need less pressure which would in turn produce less noise. I think I missed addressing one fact here that yo...
