Re: Help with understanding readings
John, Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out. I thought the 10 over the mushroom meant I had 10 events and didn't know it was the duration. I was really worried that while I was seeing AHI readings under 2 I missing something. You cleared it up and made my day. I really appreciate your he...

Thanks for everyones feedback. I guess I'll stick with the APAP since I've been sleeping better and not waking up with leaks.

Switched machine to APAP from Cpap
Need some advice. I'm new to the process, been on cpap for 3 weeks. In the sleep study I had an AHI of 34. In subsequent study at 12cm Ahi went to 1.2 . Started off pretty rough trying to get use to the mask. Perscription was for 13 cpap. Had trouble adjusting to the pressure and had leaks of .1to ....

Re: Nasal pillow masks effect on your nose
Thanks for all the responses. I don't have a choice but to get use to CPAP so I'm just trying to learn all I can to make the process easier. I think I've been tightening all the masks too tight as I ended up with a sore on the bridge of my nose with the full mask and sore nostrils with the pillow. G...

Nasal pillow masks effect on your nose
I'm new to this stuff and been switching between full face and Swift 2 pillow masks. My question is do the pillow masks end up making your nose nostrils bigger so you end up eventually looking like a pig? I thought my nose looked bigger but maybe I'm imagining things whiling trying to make this stuf...

Re: Day 1 wasn't so bad- S8 Auto, set to 13 CPAP
Not sure if I feel any different to be honest. Maybe a less tired but I have a cold so I can't tell for sure. Thanks for the relpies. Always helpful to hear from someone that knows what they're doing. Just wasn't sure if I could rely on the numbers since they were showing 13 hours usage when I reall...

Day 1 wasn't so bad- S8 Auto, set to 13 CPAP
Finally got my machine and was scared to use it but it actually went pretty good. Had it on for 6 hours and did pretty good excpet for a dent in my forhead from haing the mask too tight. Reading were AHI 4.6, AI 0, HI 4.6, leak .18. Not sure if that is good but at least I got started. Bought the cli...
