Sort of from West Michigan - I'm near Traverse City - so I'm seeing Dr. Margaret Moen - she is absolutely fantastic - I especially relate very well to her Nurse - Dona Nelson. Absolutely great care and concern - both listen to what I have to say.
Hope you find a good doc -
Beth

Re: Mirage Activa LT: headaches!
I've tried this mask before; I get headaches, too. The mask moves with every breath I take, sorta like push ups on my face. The DME supplier said there's a knack to getting it to fit properly - I've only succeeded 1x with good fit, no leaks......I'll keep trying, I guess. I do like the mask. Hope yo...

Re: OT what I found out at eye docs today
Very interesting. Thanks for posting. Since I've been on CPAP and using a nasal mask (Comfort Gel - Respironics), my right eye dripped constantly. My general doctor said that I had a sagging lower lid, and that surgery could fix it. I switched to the Mirage Vista mask, and my eye does not "leak" any...

I love mine, too. Well worth the investment. It's helped me make better choices, and I especially love the wake up feature. The music/sounds are so much more pleasant than the news, lol.

resmed software - can't print report
Oh, sometimes I feel like the "problem child" of this forum. I got the Resmed 3.7 software with my new APAP Autoset 2. I downloaded it just fine, and have been reading the detail. It's great !! However, when I tried to print a report, the system gives me an error message "Rescan caught an Unhandled ...

time zone resmed software ?
Just got my new ResMed Autoset 2, and so far so good. Got the awesome bundle with the software and card reader from cpap.com !!! I'm seeing, however, that I'm off by 2 hours in my start/stop times. I'm in bed by 10 pm, & when I download the nights data, it shows that therapy started at 8 pm (would b...

help - sensitive to pressure change ?
I have an APAP machine (test rental for now). It's a ResMed Spirit= 2005 model. To make a long story short the doc suggested I move my range from 5 - 11 to 7 - 15. On the 5-11 I felt GREAT !! No wake ups, no stomach pain, just so good to feel human again. Now, with the pressures a wee bit higher, I ...

Wulfman: uh-oh. What If I use it with the card in (correctly) tonight, and take the card in to be read tomorrow - just to see if I totally killed a good machine ? Guess I could take it in when I talk to the Manager tomorrow, eh ?

Re: know your machine !!
THANK YOU, AKCPAP GUY !!! I recall that the other tech from the same DME was the one who installed the card - when I plugged the machine in when I got home, it did give me a C-1 error. Not know what in "sam hill" I am doing, I pulled the card out a little, and it stopped. Yeah, it lit up like a Chri...

Re: know your machine !!
Thanks, Julie - I sure have a lot to learn !! I guess I am so deperate to feel human again, I don't care what it takes to get to a better, newer, data capable machine. Since it's only been 3 years since I got my machine, both the tech (nurse practioner) and I feel that Blue Cross may reject the requ...

Re: know your machine !!
oh, you are funny !! (thanks, I needed a smile today - we got 8" of snow last night, with more on the way - and I shoveled all by hand, since I could not figure out how to get the snowblower started ) I have a Respironics Remstar Pro 2 w/ Cflex (got in 2006). I saw my doctor today, hoping and beggin...

know your machine !!
Hi - I've been lurking this forum for about a month now, and love the information that I've gotten. Here's why: I've just had my second sleep study done, since I was feeling so rotten. The doc upped my pressure from 9 to 11. When the DME tech came to the house to change the pressure, he looked at my...
