Last time i flew with my old Cpap machine , the security guy broke my filter holde r off, and never said anything. The old machine had a difficult filter to remove, so he just broke the tabs off, thru it all back in the bag. Did'nt find out till i got to hotel that night.

my first hose cover was 2 sweat shirt sleeves , held in place with duct tape. (A real man's tool !) It did trick, but was a pain to take on/off for cleaning. Finally ebay'd a hose cover. That cured the tropical rain forest in my face .

This is my 8th year of Cpap. I actually wore out first machine, first Day ofral my holiday's, i turned it on..........it wheezed, zinged...........farted then crashed and burned. I use a nostral type mask. It seals pretty good, the odd time it leaks. A lot less than the mask ever did.

what's a leak rate ?
