Re: Mask for mouth-breathing, side-sleeping, guy with goatee.
I wear a full beard and moustache, although through my time on CPAP I have at times only had a Van Dke, and I do quite well with the Ultra Mirage FF. It took some time to get used to sleeping on my side with the mask, but with a little adjustment on my pillow I have make it work quite well.

Re: Error code 58 Reso bipap auto
If its the "Tank" model, E58 indicates the pressure sensor is bad. It could just be a loose or blocked sensing line, or the sensor is bad, in which case the Main PCA would have to be replaced. Probably not financially feasible to repair if the sensor is actually bad.

Re: Will I have to shave my beard?
I wear a very full and sometimes quite shaggy beard and have used the UMFF since day one without a bit of problems. My leakage is a little bit above what many seem to think is normal, but the machine is designed to make up for quite a bit of leakage. As long a the little bit of air escaping from the...

Re: Translate BiPap settings to APap settings
These settings are for an Auto BiPap. They cannot really be translated to an APAP. If this is the way the script was sent to the DME, you should end up with and Auto BiPap.

Re: Doc doesn't care to look at data - need advice
Using the equipment that the OP claims to have in this thread viewtopic/t46839/Taking-control-of-my-f ... st-II.html, will give them much more information than is available on any CPAP.

Re: mycpap.org downloads CardUtilityInstaller
In order for this software to be able to restore the data to the card, it first had to be backed up to your computer before you took it to the DME and they erased it. For you to be able to do this you will have to get the card reader. From your situation, you cannot restore the data....it is gone fo...

Re: Hospital stays and CPAP
I guess I can weigh in as professional in the Biomedical/Clinical engineering field. Yes, we are required to check all electrically operated equipment that may come into contact with a patient. This requirement is mandated by NFPA 99. Any electrical equipment that is used in the "patient care vicini...

Cant say that I know anything about the relationship, however, I have been successfully treating my OSA for over 3.5 years, and was just recently diagnosed with low testosterone. Re: Sleep apnea without the apnea.
It's a RemStar Pro 2. I first took it apart, to look for a suitable point with a voltage that indicated some useful information. I first thought I might have to connect to the wires which drive the motor, but then I noticed a lot of "test points" on the board. ("test points" are points in the circu...

Re: Any military veterans use VA health care ?
For you guys/gals who got machines through the VA, is your sleep apnea considered service connected? I'm a Desert Storm vet with sleep apnea, but since I wasn't diagnosed while in service mine was declared "not service connected." I'm wondering if I could still get a machine through the VA, even th...
