It's hard to search for Z2 and HME... both words are too short to count!

Why didn't *I* think of that?! Thanks!

Z2 with HME and Nasal Pillows?

Hi all, I was about to click "buy" on a Z2 system, but I read the manual first. It says the HME doesn't work with masks that have a short tube, the HME must be attached to the mask elbow. I've only used nasal pillow masks, and my current (Air Fit P10) has a short hose; problem is it seems every nasa...

Re: Left Power Supply Behind

Thanks for the help, all! As it turns out, where I’m at DOES have a CPAP supply place, and they had a used brick for $20! Crisis averted! Oh, and I agree with you, TheDuke! My previous machine was a ResMed and had a standard 2-prong power cable, no brick. Easy to replace if forgotten (sometimes just...

Left Power Supply Behind

Hi all, I’m away from home in a somewhat remote setting (no CPAP suppliers or fast shipping options) and I left the power brick for my REMstar at home and can’t get it for 6 weeks. >.< Can I just use a universal laptop power supply (which I can buy today, assuming it has the appropriate options?) An...

Re: Fustration over OHIP

For some unknown reason, the machine I have is priced as a CPAP, even though it's an APAP. the DME is therefore very reluctant to sell it, as a result. My doctor wrote the model (and it is ONLY the "for her" model) on the script. So I got it for the $860 price for an APAP. Sweet deal. Wow! I'm well...

Thanks, Nan! Did you use your humidifier on the inverter? Did the model you purchased specify what kind of wave it produced?

Camping with 2 CPAPs?

We're taking an (unfortunately) last minute camping trip. I say unfortunate because I'm not prepared CPAP-wise. What can you tell me about powering our CPAPs? Our campsite has no electrical hook-up. We're going in a tent trailer, but my dad (who's trailer it is) is not sure of the status of the inve...

Re: Removing Smell from Humidifier Chamber?

Thanks again, everyone! So far, it seems soap and water was (surprisingly) enough. I'll keep the other ideas on hand should I let this happen again though.

Removing Smell from Humidifier Chamber?

My machine has recently started to smell bad, and I think I've tracked it down to the humidifier chamber. It smells like burnt rubber - I guess from having run dry. I'm surprised the machine didn't have protection against running dry, and I'm not sure of the most effective way to remove the smell. A...

Re: Husband's nose pain

Thanks for the tips, everyone! Based on ResMed's fitting templates, it does appear he has the wrong size. His mask is a medium, and he should be in at least a large (even that's a tight fit.) So once we can get that sorted, it should help. Thanks for the link, Uncle Bob, as well as the DVD idea - I'...

Husband's nose pain

Could I get some advice to help my husband with his nose pain? He's using (well, he's stopped using ) the Mirage Activa LT mask, and it's causing him irritation on the bridge of his nose. He's not that into CPAP, so his solution is just not to use it. I've tried to help him adjust his mask, but even...

Re: First Machine Report...

Thanks for the feedback! I should clarify that it's not my first night on the machine (I've been using since November,) but my first night's detailed report (as I just got my card reader.) I didn't want to swamp the site with ALL my past data. My AI number last night was .5, and my HI number was 3.4
