Re: APPOLOGY

cotech's "most active topic" was one he started and title "pressure UUUUGGGGHHH!!!". http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t48111/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47973&p=435678#p435678..... Perhaps a misunderstanding of what "bump" meant? It appears the thread rooster identified fizzled out on Jan 1 and was bumped...

Re: Got new ResMed VPAP AdaptSV unit and mask ...

John, glad to here you are having success with the new machine. I need to read up on how the ASV is different and what types of conditions it targets. Also, please post how the Comfort Gel works out for you. I have tried to adjust my Quattro with less pressure, but it seems the only way I can stop t...

Re: Interpret Data Help Request

From the sounds of it, I am being impatient and should be thankful for the immediate overall improvement I have seen. Not knowing exactly what is causing the shallow breathing and therefore uncertain how that will respond to treatment is a little frustrating. Given that I did snore significantly wit...

...to give the Auto more time to respond to an event... Slinky thanks for your input. I'll see what the DR has to say when I go back and depending on how that goes I'll start making changes with or without her agreement. Is it that the machine responds more aggressively within a smaller window (pre...

Interpret Data Help Request

Can someone help me interpret my data? I have been on APAP since 10/21/09 and although I probably have my mask adjusted too tight, the leak rate has improved since I began and I can sleep better with the tightness as opposed to small air leaks that immediately wake me up. Much of the other data elem...

Re: First Day on Resmed Autoset II - Settings?

macmermaid, Since I am very new at this I can only offer insight from my limited experience. Without more data from the sleep study to indicate different setting requirements for different sleep positions, and since there wasn't much time spent at the 9 cm setting, it may be better to start in auto ...

Re: How can an eBay seller legally offer Resmed 3.7 software ?

I ordered the software from Australia for $107 USD total delivered cost. Before that I checked out the ebay offer and thinking it too good to be true asked the seller a couple of questions. The seller answered one question, but did not if the software was legal. I asked myself one question; is just ...

John, thanks for your insight. ... My SaO2 during this period was reported as mildly abnormal with the minimum at 83% and a mean of 95% and 95% of the time above 89%. ... Don't know about you, but I have similar (though occassionally lower) numbers and they can give me horrible headaches... I have t...

Re: One Month Newbie Questions

Hi Katie, Thank you for the link; I will check it out later today. After beginning to understand the sleep study report I did some research and found that central events during initial CPAP was not uncommon although it does not happen to everyone - it seems some are more susceptible for some reason....

One Month Newbie Questions

Hi and thanks to all for your collective wisdom and willingness to share. Although I just registered, I have been checking out this forum on an almost daily basis since receiving my sleep study resluts in mid October. I had a split study in mid September that reported a 27.8 AHI with 59 awakenings a...
