My diagnosis was early last year for severe OSA 63 episodes an hour. I tried the best I could with CPAP, then I got an Auto. Still hated them and I didn't feel any better after wearing them all night every night. Software reported that my AHIs were minimal 1-2 a night. I bought an pulse ox to watch ...

Congratulations on it working for you. I read the retorts to your choice of treatment (and others in previous messages) and wonder how many that respond have never tried anything other than what was first prescribed to them. It seems like the eternal quest for the "perfect" numbers or great night's ...

I am TriCare Prime so I have a bit of a different set of rules from the Standard folks. But as a whole, I am happy (as much as anything else) with them. Granted they are strange in some areas, but they sure beat the insurance in the places I have worked since retiring from the Air Force. After all o...

I use the Aeiomed "Headrest" (Aura.) and it exhausts straight up like the others have said. I do side sleep though and am self conscious about turning to my wife with it on. Maybe it's part of the newlywed thing. But so far it isn't a problem. My others were...

I'm Tricare Prime also, and when I asked a few weeks ago, the person I talked to looked it up (or claimed to, it did take a while) and came back and said I didn't need anything to get a replacement mask. Needless to say I haven't tried it though. I know when I wanted a full face mask after I had sta...

I voted it a success. I am a newlywed and my wife told me my full face mask was still allowing me to snore. What a way to start a marriage with an "Alien" stuck to my face (remember the movie Alien?) I looked through what was posted and found that this one was what appeared to be well liked. I like ...

While no longer single (married 2 weeks ago), I was not on the CPAP when I met her. I met her over a year ago and went on CPAP in April. I was very up front with her about it and her thoughts on it were what others have echoed. She is more concerned about my health than she is the machine and the ma...

I just flew to Orlando on Southwest and had no problems at all. Granted I got into section A and boarded near the front of the line. All in all, it seemed to go well. I hope the trip home goes as well.

I was also thinking of getting a full face mask as a backup (for colds and stopped up nose). Same question about the two most common, the F&P Flexfit HC431 and the Ultra Mirage FF. Anyone know which way (how) they exhaust?
Thanks

Exhaust Questions

I am a newbie in the CPAP world (1 week) and have learned a lot from reading messages here till it hurt. I currently have the Swift and I like (well maybe tolerate is a better word) it. The one thing I'm unhappy with is how the exhaust comes out. I am getting married in a couple of months and I woul...

I'm new at all of this and was looking into the software and reader to try to get as informed as I can. From looking at the cpap.com they are selling the reader and software package that appears to be 1.5. They have a link for software upgrades, where there is currently a version 1.6. It is a contro...

I am a Tricare Prime person. Retire AF (7 years ago). I am just getting into the CPAP world. Like most of the other prime it looks like I am stuck with the "approved vendors", but was encouraged by sleepdaddy's comments in another thread that looked like they might be reasonable and might be able to...
