Re: Puffy Eyes and Bi-PAP
Thanks Gerry - going to call Apria health care and see if I can order it. The leaking mask is driving me nuts. I am sure going to try to get this comfort care pad. Thanks!

Re: Puffy Eyes and Bi-PAP
Yes, I feel like I am having severe allergies and am taking Claritin daily - scratchy throat. The mask leaks constantly - according the the digital readout which I just figured out the "leak percentage" is 54%. I am going to call the equipment provider today and talk to them about it. The mask is a ...

Re: this is sooooo frustrating
Hi Jon: I have never been on CPAP, but my doctor put me on bi-PAP since the pressures were so high - 18/16. You might have to go back and try the mask again. I could not tolerate the nasal mask or nasal pillows in the sleep lab, period. All it did, was blow the air right down my throat and I did not...

Hi mazza: I am new also - had my bi-PAP with heated humidifier for exactly 10 days. Do not sleep sitting up. You have to start adjusting right away. The only time I sat up, was when I first brought the machine home. I "practiced" sitting on the couch to see if I could adjust to the pressure of 18/16...

Re: this is sooooo frustrating
Hello Katcw: I too am a mouth breather. Because of this fact, I have to use a face mask (covers nose and mouth). I have had my first bi-PAP for exactly 10 days - and now have had a sore throat for over 1 week. At first, thought I was getting a cold, but then realized it might be the bi-PAP. At any r...

Puffy Eyes and Bi-PAP
Hello. Anyone else have this problem. Have never had puffy eyes, and now since using bi-PAP - my upper lids are just about covering my eyes. I have a respironics bi-PAP with heated humidifier - 18/16 and face mask (Quattro Mirage). Sometimes, it does leak towards my left eye, but quits when I get it...

New to Bi-PAP and problems with mask fit
Hello - have had my bi-PAP for 1 week with pressure of 18/16 (have severe hypopnea in addition to snoring and apnea). I actually adjusted to the pressure because (thank God) of the ramp-up for 45 minutes. At first, I swore it was blowiing the mask off of my face. Some nights hardly leaks, other nig...
