Re: OT: Ambien side effects!!!
I have used Ambien for several years now, off and on. I find it a very effective medication to help me sleep. I only read the first page of posts here and then skipped ahead to this page to post my thoughts and experiences, so forgive me if I retread something that has already been discussed. For me...

Re: Correlation between VS and high pressure?
No, I do not snore - ever! That was a road block to my diagnosis some 8 years ago. The doctors kept asking me if I snored and I told them no, I didn't. My wife says she has never heard me snore. So everyone dismissed OSA. Finally, when all else had failed diagnosis-wise, they put me in for a sleep t...

Correlation between VS and high pressure?
Okay, so I've got my software and card reader and I've started down the road to taking a an active role in my therapy after 8 years of just being along for the ride. I must admit, I'm having fun with it. Who knew? Anyhow, I digress. My initial readings have my AHI way down low, less than 1. So that ...

Re: finaly relief, switch back from APAP to CPAP
I think a lot of my problems with the wide open pressure was a combination of the low pressure and also large leaks at the higher pressures. I've got a full face mask now so I can tame the leaks, and I also have the software and card reader so now I can do some experimentation once I learn what all ...

Re: finaly relief, switch back from APAP to CPAP
I could have written your post above! I was on CPAP with a pressure of 10 for almost 8 years. I had lost some weight and the CPAP pressure was blowing my mouth open and waking me. So I went to the sleep doc and we talked about trying an APAP since I hadn't upgraded my machine in 8 years. We got an A...

Newbie - but not really
Hello to all. I'm new to this forum, but certainly not new to this condition. I've been on a CPAP for around 8 years and a true success story. Started on CPAP therapy around age 40 after a long time trying to medically find out why I was feeling so bad. I didn't snore and didn't have all the typical...

Quick question about EncoreViewer 1.0 software
New guy here, long time CPAP (now APAP) user. I'll get to my story on another post but I have a quick question about the EncoreViewer 1.0 software: I want to get a card reader and software for my Repironics and over on the consumer feedback page for this package the most recent post says the softwar...
