Re: Surprising Facts about American Health Care

Did you "really" buy the Republican publicity that many Canadians go to the US for HealthCare... Perhaps I can interest you in some swampland that I can sell you in Florida or maybe a bridge that's been hardly used. Most Canadians just laughed. The only Canadians that I know that have gone to the U...

Re: Surprising Facts about American Health Care

Go read some history books. Canada once was contributing medical innovations. That all started to dry up decades ago after a socialist medical system was installed. There are medium sized companies in the U.S. that produce more medical innovation every year than the entire country of Canada produce...

Re: NEWBIE! ResScan 3.7 vs. 3.10? Cable vs. Reader?

Thanks for the advice on where to look for cards. What my beef is with the Resscan is the ability to store only 2 nights' data at a time. The software is not immediately intuitive to use. And I don't like how the scales expand for more detailed viewing. And on a machine this new and sophisticated, ...

Re: Doctors reactions to male vs. female complaints

My symptoms (in addition to the most horrible sleep, snoring, and sleep talking) were anxiety and depression and I must have been diagnosed with "inattentive-type Attention Deficit Disorder" at least ten times because I was constantly losing and forgetting things, and not able to pay attention for ...

Re: NEWBIE! ResScan 3.7 vs. 3.10? Cable vs. Reader?

And does anybody know a source for new smart cards. Mine mysteriously disappeared, and two months of searching have not revealed where it is hiding. CPAP.com says the cards are no longer available. BTW, I use Rescan 3.(0)7. I do not like it that much. Despite the much less granualr data, I found th...

Re: NEWBIE! ResScan 3.7 vs. 3.10? Cable vs. Reader?

I think what Gondring is talking about is that in decimals you can drop the 0 so the 3.10 is actually 3 and 1/10th versus the 3.7 which is 3 and 7/10ths making the latter a larger number due to the decimal. I hope my math serves me okay here. I, too, have wondered about the numbering so Gondring is...

Re: NEWBIE! ResScan 3.7 vs. 3.10? Cable vs. Reader?

The VPAP 25 uses the same cable reader as the S8s do and did. The VPAP 25 works just fine w/ResScan 3.7. 10 is a higher number than 7 so what is your question about the sequence of 3.7 vs 3.10? YOu don't NEED v.3.10 for the VPAP Auto 25. But you WOULD need it for an S9. ResScan is backwards compati...

Re: septoplasty and turbinate surgery

It's essential that you check out the surgeon who will be doing the work. It's important to get just the right amount of adjustment, and a botched job can be far worse than before. But a good one is heavenly.

Re: ResScan Software 3.10 Patients Need Not Apply

ResMed Corporate will sell ResScan 3.10 software to Doctors and clinicians only. PATIENTS NEED NOT APPLY. Why? ResMed Corporate doesn't want to be sued, should the apnea patient do something stupid and dies. For example,ResScan 3.7 software allowed apnea patients to independently change their CPAP/...

Re: Doctors reactions to male vs. female complaints

I take issue with the premise.

Gynecologists won't even let me make an appointment, let alone give me the time of day!

NEWBIE! ResScan 3.7 vs. 3.10? Cable vs. Reader?

From recent posts, it looks like the VPAP Auto 25 is more popular than I'd thought. I figured out how to get clinician's menu, but I'd like more information, so I want to get set up with software. I'm wondering about the software. Am I right that the numbering is goofy and that 3.10 followed 3.7? An...

Re: nasal congestion

I went to see an ENT doctor and had septoplasty surgery and have not had a issue since. Septoplasty with turbinectomy worked wonders for me, too, but I do know that there are terrible risks with the turbinate surgeries. Also, I require the humidity in a specific range. Ronsil, you can also try lyin...

Re: Increased Humidification causes Congestion ?

I've found that there's a narrow range within which I don't get congestion.

Also be sure to keep your hose clean so you don't get any mold spores taking advantage of the humidity and heat they're getting...?
