Re: HELP! HI is 42 w/APAP & no leaks???
My pressure is set to 6.0-12.0. EPR is set to 3. Single pressure was set to 7.0 originally. I've gained 40 pounds since then. My average median is 6.8 and 95th percentile is 9.6. Average Max is 10.6.

HELP! HI is 42 w/APAP & no leaks???
Hi Everyone, Last night my HI was 42.0 on my APAP with no leaks. I don't understand why/how this can happen. It's my understanding that the APAP should respond to events so that this doesn't happen. I have to admit that I've been pushing myself a lot lately with the Holidays and not getting as much ...

Re: dropped APAP/broken-under warranty???
Gerry, My DME just exchanged my last machine for the new one without even going through the insurance co. He's a great guy. All he needed was a new script for the APAP. I'd had the CPAP for just under a year so he sent that one back under warranty. It was very nice of him, but I'm pretty sure he's n...

Re: dropped APAP/broken-under warranty???
Thank you Daffney! I figured it would void the warranty. I did unplug it, but didn't even think of dying with a hair dryr. I'll try that. When I turned it on this AM it did go on but couldn't hold it's pressure. I also tried it without the mask and it didn't indicate "High Leak!!!" I'll try your sug...

dropped APAP/broken-under warranty???
Last night I accidentally pulled the hose with my covers and pulled my brand new APAP machine onto the floor---upside down. Water from humidifier every. They replaced a broken S8 Elite II just before Thanksgiving with my new Autoset II. It's been working GREAT!!! I've been getting less than 5 AHI's ...

Re: Question about data results
I did actuallty sleep almost 12 hours. I do that a lot which is why I take sleep apnea so seriously. I really hope treatment can help me to get a better quality sleep and therefore have less of a need to sleep so many hours. I'd LOVE to get my life back! I also noticed that the pressure and leak gra...

Question about data results
Thanks to Katie, I was able (I hope!) to download my statistic report and detailed graph. Can someone please help me to interpret it? Any idea why my apneas are all in the morning? Most of the hypopneas are in the morning also. Any ideas why that is? Thanks, Lisa [I http://i924.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Need Help with Rescan results, Please
One other thing I'd Love to know. I slept very late this morning (until after 11:00AM--- which is NOT unusual for me)) and I noticed that most of the apnea events were after 8:00 AM. Any thoughts about this?

Need Help with Rescan results, Please
I'm SO happy. I FINALLY got my new S8 Autoset II on Wednesday. The first night my pressures were higher and I had NO AI and only 5.3 HI's. 0 leaks. Great! Last night things were still good except that I had an AHI of 9.7. I wish I could figure out how to cut and paste the graphs and Info. because I ...

Re: Nasal Pillow masks with attached chip strap?
Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried using the premium chin strap and for whatever reason, it just didn't work for me. In spite of making it very tight, my mouth would always find a way to open. What actually worked best for me is a product called "Chin-Ups" that I got at drugstore.com. It lo...

Re: New ResMed and Fisher & Paykel machines
If you google ResMed S9 you'll get some pages that have educated guesses on what their new machines may have that are different. I'm pretty sure that the changes are that you'll be able to get data wirelessly and that Resmed may be making a portable battery so that you can use the machine without pl...

Re: Nasal Pillow masks with attached chip strap?
Thank you Hawthorne. I was going to order it because it does look like a chinstrap. Now I won't. I have the Swift LT for her that I really wish I could use, but a lot of air escapes through my mouth. The chinstraps I've tried have fallen off in the night. I'll just have to stick with the full face m...

Re: Nasal Pillow masks with attached chin strap?
Sorry. I did mean chin strap. These fingers of mine don't always hit the right keys! Thanks. Do you know if it works well?
