Re: Foggy brain, shortness of breath...
Clearly, you aren't getting good therapy from your machine and/or mask, and you can't know which it is or what the problems are since your machine is not capable of providing you efficacy data. If you are now employed and have insurance, can you get your doctor to change your machine to an Auto Cpa...

Re: Foggy brain, shortness of breath...
Are you currently using any OTC nasal sprays? Try some of the prescription nasal sprays like Astelin. What is your pressure? You might consider "Sinus Rinse," a commercially available saline solution for flushing the nostrils. I'm not using any OTC nasal sprays because I've read that you can become...

They started me off at a 7, then went to a 9, then to an 11.Pugsy wrote:Unfortunately the machine you show in your profile offers zero meaningful data on that SD card, hours of use only.
No way to judge therapy pressure effectiveness. What is the pressure set at?

Foggy brain, shortness of breath...
I'm a 25 year old male in pretty good shape. I'm roughly 180lbs and about 18% body fat. I work out about 5 days a week and have a pretty active job, so overall, I'm pretty healthy. When I was 20, I started to notice that I was tired all the time, so I went to see a sleep doctor. I was diagnosed with...

Re: Can't get rid of the apneas
The charts also seem to point to leaks being at least part of the problem. Note that when your leak line is jagged, you have more OA's and when it is flat you have fewer. I'm not familiar with the mask so I don't have any tips for fixing it. Did your sleep study show if you had more events on your ...

Can't get rid of the apneas
I've been struggling with CPAP for a few months now. To make a long story short, my first sleep study in August said I had an AHI of 32 and 30 arousals per hour. The next night I had another sleep study with the CPAP and they titrated me at a pressure of 7 with a nasal mask; the results that night c...

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
This machine is weird. It says the blower was running for 7.5 hours last night, yet, there isn't any data on the screen for therapy hrs/night, leak information, or AHI numbers. Went to the sleep doctor and I'm not too happy about the way things went. I've been to this doctor too many times and it se...

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
I'm going to try the best to clean out my nose tonight. Also, I'm going to set the pressure at a 6 (which is one below what I was titrated at) to see what my AHI score will be like tomorrow. I'm wondering if the high pressure has been causing a lot of central apneas and if that's why I've been feeli...

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
What do you mean by nasal cleansing? Just blowing my nose? I could try and try for hours to blow my nose, but nothing comes out.
I've had my humidifier set on 3/5.

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
Good grief.....was your doctor just "guessing"? Yeah. Pretty much. Each time I've been in to see him he seemed to focus a lot of the attention on the fact that my tonsils were HUGE and that my Nasal airway was blocked, so he figured raising the pressure would help, but it hasn't. *When you say "Tha...

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
I have not seen anyone suggest less pressure. If you are causing yourself to have central apneas with the high pressures you could be worse off and that might explain some of the data. Perhaps some of the long-time users could correct me here. Well, we don't know what his pressure is, but other pos...

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
The flexifit FF mask that I'm using does leak around the nose and eyes. They're small leaks. The data shows that there aren't many leaks, but could the small leaks around the eyes and nose be causing my therapy to not work correctly?

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
Alright, so about a week later, here are some updates: - I haven't noticed a difference since starting the VeraMyst a few weeks ago. I will probably run out of the stuff in a few days and I won't be buying a refill. - I've been resetting the data on the LCD screen every night before bed, but when I ...

Re: Still Struggling Months Later
I usually get in bed by 1am and tend to wakeup at 8:30. So, some nights I get 7 hours of sleep and other nights I may get 9. The whole college thing probably has a lot to do with my sleep problems as well, since my schedule isn't the same everyday. My work schedule fluctuates too. I actually quit ca...
