Tired of being Tired Trying Again after Quitting for 9 Mos
Tired of being tired I an going to try again after quitting for 9 months. One and a half months of trying BPAP I quit. The machine made me more tired, not less. Probably too much messing around with the machine and too impatient. My sleep study had me at AHI = 35 wit predominately centrals. I looked...

Repti Heated Cable and Leviton Lamp Dimmer
The Repti Heated Cable was a little too warm so I found a Leviton TB103 Plug-in Lamp Dimmer for $10 at Home Depot. Worked great.

Re: Question for the ResMed SmartCard Hackers
Not picking on you. I went thru the same thing. Buy the ACR38U reader from here: http://www.smartcardsupply.com/Content/Hardware/ACR38.htm. This is a U version. Call 800-331-3921 or write sales@IQBIO.net to make sure they send the U version. The latest drivers (1.1.6.1) are probably on your system i...

Re: Question for the ResMed SmartCard Hackers
...It is NOT the ACS branded model which is known to work... that is a ACR38U-SPC-R... OK, now I'm confused (easy to do) Bill...do I want the ACS38U or the ACR38U-SPC-R? That is when I can afford to buy one. Your need the ACR38U using drivers 1.1.6.1 (made forthe U version) not the ACR38C using dri...

Re: Ode to a heated hose
There is a blue mark on the heated cable that shows where the heat begins (~ 5.5' heated length). You simply run the cable straight down the 2 meter tube length, centering end to end, and zip the hose cover over the assembly. There is about a 6" section on either end of the hose that is not heated. ...

Re: getting rescan software
Ebay! I made a best offer of $19 and got the software. The card reader is an ACR38U (http://www.smartcardsupply.com/Content/Hardware/ACR38.htm). Call them and make sure they send the U. The drivers (only ones recognized by ResScan) are different than the CCID. IMPORTANT! IMPORTANT!! Disable any wire...

Repti 15W Heat Works Great!
Repti 15W Heat Works Great! No more rain out on setting 2. My DME did suggest nor tell me about getting a isolative sleeve to avoid Rain Out. I bough the ResMed sleeve and still experienced Rain Out on setting 2 and above. Last night I sewed a isolative cover for the Swift and added the Repti Heated...

Re: Resscan Software Not Detecting Card Reader
Well, no kidding. You have to disable the wireless lan network connection in the device manager for the ACR38U to work. I have a Thinkpad running XP Pro SP3 that has no other problems. Super solid computer. I work with computer hardware and write software for front ends, reports, websites and SQL da...

Re: Resscan Software Not Detecting Card Reader
The ACR38C uses different non support drivers. You need the U version.
The whole process is very flakey at best. I got mine to work once with the guide.

ResMed Definitions Please
What are the ResMed Auto 25 Definitions for settings like Support Pressure, TI Max, Rise Time? What are "normal" results? I have a copy of ResScan 5.7 and a ACR38U reader. My sleep lab AHI was 35 with Predominately Central Apneas. Recommended pressures of 14/9. Had the machine for < week with AHI of...
