Sorry, I just checked my profile and my machine was listed.
Anyway, I have the Resmed S8 Elite II with the humidifier of course.

going on cross country trip, need to plug into cig lighter
So my husband wants to drive from Missouri to California and sleep in our truck. So I either find a way to run my cpap machine in the truck, get up enough money for motel rooms or stay home and I DON'T want to stay home. Does anyone have any idea what I need to buy in order to make this trip happen?...

Re: Recently diagnosed and anxious
Hi April! Welcome! I remember being so frustrated in the beginning (2009) also. It was so strange to be wearing this thing on my face and I was mad that I had to. You mentioned your nose hurting from the pillows...maybe the pillows are not the right size for your nostrils. I have the Swift LT for He...

Swift LT for Her nasal pillows-unused sizes
Everytime I get a new mask it comes with 3 different sizes of nasal pillows: XS, S and M. I use the M.
What do you all do with the unused sizes? Seems a waste to just trash them.
I thought there was somewhere on here where people exchange them...
Ebay them? lol

Re: New to CPAP and having a lot of trouble
Been on cpap since 2009. In my opinion, 4 is entirely too low! It would be like trying to breathe through one of those face masks like when you paint. My ramp was set to 5, I believe. This is not enough air for a human to breathe. I couldn't breathe and had to take my mask off to get air. I googled ...

Re: at my wits end!!
So we were just arguing about how I can't sleep and maybe I was a little irrational but sleep deprivation will do that right? lol Anyway, he told me I could wear ear plugs. Oh yippee. Let's plug up 2 more holes in my head. A little later he did say that he had an appt on 7/16 at 1pm. He forgot to te...

Re: at my wits end!!
Thanks everyone for your speedy replies! He said that the tech said she got what she needed so I'm not really sure what's going on. I don't know when he's supposed to get the results. Hopefully very soon. He usually works til 10pm so him trying to go to sleep at 10 was very difficult and he really s...

at my wits end!!
I've been on cpap therapy since 2009. I love it and couldn't imagine trying to sleep now without it. My husband snores very loudly. I finally got him to do a sleep study which was done on 6/25/13. He said that he couldn't fall asleep and that he finally did start to sleep deeply in the wee morning h...

Re: Just another "newbie", feeling like I'm suffocating...
Hello isme, I can't believe your pressure is 5!! Seems really low to me. When I first started my cpap therapy, my ramp started at 4.5 and sloooooowly went to 9.0. I felt like I couldn't get enough air but I thought that this was "just the way it is" and just tried to breathe slowly and deeply throug...

Re: Very new, very confused, and on behalf of my husband
Hi Elvira, I've been on cpap since 10/09. Love it! Best thing I ever did for myself! Anyway, I've never taken my card to the doctor and I don't have a program to read it. I just know by how I feel each day how my cpap therapy is going. I can tell I've had my mouth open by when I wake up and my throa...

Re: Hello and I have a problem
Personally, I couldn't stand the ramp feature. My pressure is 9.0 and the ramp started at 4.5. I felt like I was suffocating! I turned to "no ramp." Now when I push the "on" button, I get my full air and I love it. There is no gradual increase of air. I'm not laying there waaaaiiiittting for the ful...

Re: Air blowing on spouse (mask recommendation)
Hi, We have a king sized bed so that helps, lol. We sleep with one of those small, striped, travel pillows between our sleeping pillows. I have to have it far enough away from my face so the air doesn't bounce back on me. Sometimes hubby will shove it over toward me and I just shove it back and tell...

Re: UGH...Ya'll tired of me complaining yet???
Hi, I have the swift lt for her mask and I love it. I just wanted to mention that if I don't have my mask tightened up on the top of my head and the back, it won't keep the pillows in properly. I usually have to tighten it nightly because I guess it gets a tad stretched out from putting it on. Also,...

Re: New and wanting relief from headaches
Same here...I ditto what Ameriken said!! I actually love my machine as well!! Being sleep deprived and feeling so lousy all day long, I think I just was ready for some relief so bad I could of hugged the thing right off!! Yes, there is adjusting and tweaking and LOTS of learning, but it's very do-a...

Re: New User with Mask questions
I would NOT suggest the FX! It's horrible. I'm sure you can find my other posts about the pitfalls of that mask, lol. I have the Swift LT for Her and I love it. I also have long hair and what I do is use a ponytail holder and make a low pony/bun thing. lol I find that if I don't tie my hair up my he...
