Re: What am I doing wrong? Is it my machine?
Nice to know I'm in good company. I'm thinking on getting a Zeo myself to check sleep stage. I think I'm in stage 4 which I never hit when I have my sleep studies. I think that would explain why I get the centrals at home but not on the studies. What is your pulse? As your can see I go into bradycar...

Re: What am I doing wrong? Is it my machine?
Forgot to add that the Sleep Study was on ASV also with no change and no centrals on both CPAP and ASV. The report reads no OSA with a AHI of .6 but since I was diagnosed in 09 with a AHI of 60. They felt it was best to kept me on CPAP.

Re: What am I doing wrong? Is it my machine?
This happen about every other day and why I requested a new sleep study. I seen the sleep Doc last month and when the report showed no centrals she said see you in a year. This was at the VA. I do have appointments with both my VA and insurance PCP’s. I got my S9 from CPAP.com so I don't know if I s...

What am I doing wrong? Is it my machine?
I’m at a lost. My pressure is set at 4.8 and I’m getting centrals over 60. If I try auto they go even higher. On my sleep studies I get no centrals. OA's are always under 5. I’m using an S9 Auto start. Could this be my machine? http://i1125.photobucket.com/albums/l592/JimDB/sleepy23Jan12.png http://...

Re: SPO2 display problem.
I'm using a CMS-50D+. I'm using it in "live mode," i.e. put on pulseox, go to the SH oximetry screen, click on "start live." I get a valid display of data on the oximetry screen, then click the save icon. When I look at SPO2 on the daily screen, the scale is all screwed up like this: http://img808....

I believe you're posting in the wrong topic!-SWS wrote:Well Mary spoke of three overnight oximtery collections that each returned no desaturatons. How does that reflect poorly on the doctor?rocklin wrote: Ah, but that's the point, old chap, that sleep doctor clearly doesn't know the first thing about oximeters.

Re: Central mystery - New sleep study
To M.D.Hosehead , I'm sorry, I'm the one that missed typed it reads .6 AHI. I need to look for my first study or request another copy. I just seen my pulmonologist, sleep specialist, last Wednesday but I don't think she read .6 AHI. If I have seen the report before hand I would have question the NO ...

Re: Central mystery - New sleep study
Jim, something here isn't computing for me. On the diagnostic study your AHI was 0.6, yet they prescribed CPAP at 5 cm. Why? I was asking myself the same question, just because on a past study it was 60 AHI. At home your machine records AHI of 6 to 15 or 20, depending on pressure. Are these all cen...

Re: Central mystery - New sleep study
I read that centrals can be caused by heart and brain problems like tumors of the brainstem and lesions in the clival region. so you should get some testing done also. I have a Cardiologist in Feb. and he is going to read the sleep study plus I'll have my report from the S9 and Oximeter. I need to ...

Re: Central mystery - New sleep study
Have you looked at how long and how total the centrals are on a waveform display? I don't know just what to look for. I do have both Resscan 3.16 and Sleepyhead 0.8.8.4 pre bata If you don't have a blood O2 drop or an EEG arousal, many people will not call it an apnea at all, and it may not be harm...

Re: Central mystery - New sleep study
I was using a pressure 0f 5.8 cm H2O and getting reading of 6-15 AHI
With the setting of 5 cm H20 I'm seeing 10-20 AHI
This is why I think it could be because I didn't hit REM in the Lab.
Thanks

Central mystery - New sleep study
Been on CPAP for a year and my Resmed S9 APAP has been showing centrals of well over 10. I showed my info to my doctor which did have a new sleep study done (Results posted below). I have been using the new pressure with no luck, still high centrals plus my total AHI has gone up. The lowest AHI has ...
