Re: Another pr system one question.
Often the machine will be louder due to a mask leak. You could try adjusting the mask to see if that will quite the machine down.

Re: Nail beds, sleep apnea and the heart
No cardiologist I know uses the nail beds as a guide to heart health. If they are pink, that means you are getting blood flow to them, which is what you want. Unless you find a certified medical study on this, I would simply assume some is trying to blow smoke up your mask.

Re: What tape for taping ones mouth shut?
Have you tried a full face mask? The major CPAP manufacturers, Respironics, Resmed, and Fisher & Paykel, all offer a 30 mask return policy, assuming you got your equipment through a DME. This means that you can take your mask in within 30 days of recieving it, and they should change you out to a dif...

Re: Rental Period Over?
CPAP and APAP are both billed the same through Medicare, so your DME should not have changed your machine billing around at the point of change. Re: Fixing -- not preventing -- rainout?
Basically, if you have rain out in your tubing, you need to just raise the mask higher than the machine, and shake the tube to get all the water to go back down into the machine. After the majority of the liquid is drained off, turn off the humidity, and let the machine run for a few minutes before ...

What do you guys and gals think? Should I go for the PR BiPAP Auto? You are nuckin futs... Why? Do you think that the M Series is better than the new PR? The PR offers some nice advantages over the M series. I work for a DME, and according to the inservice that I recieved from Philips Respironics, ...
