Re: S9 VPAP?
Dave, Slinky, Thanks for the comments! I'm glad to hear that there will be an S9 VPAP! As for my pressure, Dave, I forgot to change my sig... A while ago, I decided to try a lower pressure, Auto @ 10.4/24.4/EPR4, and found that it actually worked much better for me than my much higher titrated press...

Re: Upgraded to S8 Auto, Disappointed in available Filter
I use the regular filters for the S8 series, but I use two at a time. Stack them in the same orientation with the blue side facing out on both filters, stick them in the hole and put the cap back on. There's plenty of room in there for both filters and the machine works fine!

S9 VPAP?
I currently use an S8 VPAP Auto 25 which is a bi-level machine, but with the advent of APAP machines, I don't know that there is a "real world" difference between VPAP and APAP anymore, especially since the advent of pressure support on VPAPs. I use my VPAP with an EPAP of 10.4, IPAP of 24.4, and pr...

Re: New SWIFT FX--ANYONE using it yet?
Got the mask and tried it last night... The mask itself is really a marvel of engineering. It fit very well and sealed perfectly. I did have a little bit of the "hard to inhale" thing that the Swift LT does for me, but not bad enough to want to take it off. The vent seems to blow at a good angle as ...

Re: New drug
I've been taking HCTZ for a few years now and don't know if it has a direct impact on OSA, but I doubt it. As for getting up at night, since starting BiPAP in October, I haven't been to the bathroom at night even once! I take my HCTZ in the morning, so by night, the urge isn't as great anymore...

Re: Help! PM won't leave outbox
The PM system on this board is kind of weird... Messages don't leave the outbox until they're read. I don't know why, but that seems to be the case. Hope this helps!

Re: ResScan 3.07 Drivers Don't Install. PLEASE HELP!
Sorry to hear about your troubles... I can tell you that the version you have is the same that I have and it works perfectly well with Windows 7. I'm using it with W7 Ultimate and with W7 Starter, and it works fine on both. I also know that there are others here using it with XP, but I don't know if...

Humidifier for KnightStar 330?
Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if anyone here has a Puritan Bennett KnightStar 330 humidifier (part # Y-102938-00) sitting in the closet that they don't use anymore and are willing to sell me. I've looked online and have asked CPAP.com (which doesn't have it), but the cheapest price I found list...

Re: cpapauction.com prices too good to be true???
There are lots of good deals on cpapauction.com! I bought my ResMed S8 VPAP Auto 25 from someone on there and it was brand new, for less than half the price of what it costs on cpap.com (which is already a great price). I've also bought *many* masks there at great prices. As with everything in life,...

Re: Time for a new mask: Headrest vs. ComfortLite 2?
I recently got a Headrest for a good price and tried it for the first time last night. Did not like it at all... First off, how do you get the head-strap piece to stay on your head? It doesn't seem to tension properly for me and I had a feeling that it would fall off at any time. Then, I couldn't ge...

Re: How Often Should I Download My Smart Card?
Some of the older ResMed units only held a few days worth of data. I think the smart card increases the amount. John, The current ResMed machines store summary data for up to a year in its internal memory. Detail data only for four days. Also, on ResMed machines, the SmartCard does not add capacity...
