A very interesting comment, "Guest". Why would anyone want to know about CPAP machines on a CPAP forum? Crazy talk.

Re: BIG UPDATE: NEW RESPIRONICS PR Series Auto CPAP Released!

Here are data results from my first month (since resetting the SD card) using the PR System One! Did you get all of this data from the LCD? Or are you using some program to help you interpret SD card data and track and plot your results? I have (I think) the same machine with an SD card and would l...

Re: Please set me straight -- CPAP Smart Card or SD Card ?

Thanks indy-farmer but I HOPE they mean end user (patient) software for MORE than "compliance". "Compliance" will ONLY tell us how many hours a night we use it! We don't need software for that! I agree with you. But, I'm an optimist: It doesn't take this long to write crippled S/W that does only on...

Re: Please set me straight -- CPAP Smart Card or SD Card ?

Here's a thought. If money permits get the M series Auto with AFlex and the software and have it for a backup machine. Use it every now and then to get some data. Or another thought, if the DME has Encore 2.1 ask them to print off copies of the report for you. You and I are certainly thinking alike...

Re: Please set me straight -- CPAP Smart Card or SD Card ?

Data now or maybe later with the "latest" machine which some people always want the "latest". As an engineer, I'm torn....I'd love to see the data now, but engineers always like the latest gadgets. I've been told by Respironics that we should see S/W available for the patient in the 1st quarter of ...

Re: Please set me straight -- CPAP Smart Card or SD Card ?

Software for this model is Encore Viewer or Encore Pro. With either software package you will need the card reader. In the back of the machine should be the smart card. It is about the size of a credit card. So all you need is the card reader. Mako Infineer 3500 . Advice of this sort read on other ...

Re: Please set me straight -- CPAP Smart Card or SD Card ?

Indy - which model do you have? On the top of the unit in black letters it reads: REMstar Auto A-Flex. On the bottom of this unit in white letters it reads: REMstar Auto 550P. Some replies on this forum really have me pegged as an engineer: I bought the S/W to simply address my curiosity, and not f...

That's a very interesting response that can be taken in so many ways. And here I thought that I was just out $119!

Re: Please set me straight -- CPAP Smart Card or SD Card ?

Thanks to all for the kind words of welcome and the well-informed responses. I have a REMstar Auto. What I glean from the above replies is that I need to return the S/W from whence I purchased, or sell it on EBAY. As I'm just now getting used to the CPAP machine, itself, I'm reluctant to return that...

Please set me straight -- CPAP Smart Card or SD Card ?

I just received my new Respironics CPAP machine. I'm not familiar with such machines and all of this stuff is new to me. I did notice an SD card slot in the back of the machine and an SD card installed. After using the cpap machine for a couple of nights, I was curious and popped the SD card into my...
