Re: Question for Papcap users
The PapCap chinstrap doesn't leave marks on my face, but I don't wear it really tight. It does prevent the puffs of air for me , but it doesn't seem to work for everyone. I have to agree with Jeff that the PapCap can get quite warm. That's nice in the wintertime, but not so much when it's summer! Bu...

Re: GOT MY BUCKWHEAT PILLOW TODAY!
I can add/remove hulls from both my small and large buckwheat hull pillows too, and the zippered covers are washable. I slept with the larger one, which is the size of a standard bed pillow, last night. It was fine, but I think I prefer the smaller one. That may be because I probably need to remove ...

Re: GOT MY BUCKWHEAT PILLOW TODAY!
I use this small buckwheat hull pillow made by Snugglehose: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/snugglehose-buckwheat-hull-cpap-pillow.html . I love it! It's just the right size, and my neck is at the perfect angle for comfort. I also have a large buckwheat hull pillow, but I haven't used that one for ...

Sister, I'm so sorry that you've been having these difficulties. I hope that they find the cause and that there is an effective treatment so you can feel better soon. Best wishes to you!

Re: Mask question
Each DME handles things differently. My DME does not sell individual mask parts, only the entire mask+headgear. If you use a brick-and-mortar DME, it's wise to learn what they sell and exactly how they handle payment and insurance. Then you can compare with online prices.

Re: Mask question
The clips wont stay in the mask. They fly off several times at night. Maybe I can just replace those. The headgear and plastic part seem fine. Can you get new plastic clips? They aren't bent or anything, they just wont stay in the holder anymore. My nasal mask came with extras but this one did not....

Re: Mask question
Hi, Jaylee! What normally happens is the DME sends a bill to the insurance company for an outrageous amount. The insurance company has a standard "allowable amount" for each billing code, which is usually quite a bit less than the DME bills them. The billing code for a full-face mask is A7030. The D...

Re: FREE Kindle E-book - "Sleep: 10 great tips...."
I sometimes browse this forum using my Kindle. You must really have a LOT of patience! I don't use the Kindle for web browsing very often, but it's come in handy at times. If I had an iPad or a similar device, I'd certainly use that instead! But the Kindle and my desktop computer are the only choic...

Re: FREE Kindle E-book - "Sleep: 10 great tips...."
There is a patch to the Kindle OS that will essentially turn it into a Droid tablet at a bargain price. Browser, apps and all. But you didn't hear it from me... It'd be interesting to see that in action! Actually, the web browser that's included on the latest-generation Kindles isn't too bad. In fa...

Re: Need to change your Activa LT mask cushion?
Dr. Bronner's should be good. It'll be interesting to see how often others have to replace the Activa LT cushion. It could also be that the headgear loosens with time, but it sounds like replacing the cushion solves the leak problem, so that's probably not it. I feel you on the Headrest mask rainout...

Re: Why so mean?
Carbonman, you rock! Love it. Yep, the C-man was in fine fettle . Perfect!! "fine fettle"--that's a phrase that I don't hear often. It has a nice ring to it, RG! Carbonman does rock. The vast majority of the people on this forum are truly wonderful-- very generous with their time and support. Not e...

Re: Need to change your Activa LT mask cushion?
Hi, Katie! Good to see you're still here too! I visit the forum regularly, but I don't comment as often anymore. I used to use the Activa LT all the time, but I can't remember how long I used it before I switched (mostly) to the Headrest nasal pillows mask. I do know that I never changed my Activa L...

Re: FREE Kindle E-book - "Sleep: 10 great tips...."
Okay all you Kindle lovers....talk me into one! Especially, why would I want a Kindle if I can just get a Kindle app on my iPhone, iPad, or other tablet(I think)? And how is a Kindle so much better than other e-readers? To start.... (1) E-ink is easy to read (2) Non-glare screen (3) Text-to-speech
